Hey there,
This is Jen with Laughing Lotus Wellness.
Welcome to our meditation practice.
So welcome in and we are going to begin our journey into our meditation,
Renew,
Tending the garden of the soul.
So I invite you to begin our time today by beginning to slow the breath,
Finding your comfortable seat,
Or lying down,
Whatever works best for you.
If you are seated,
I suggest a nice tall spine for easy fluid of the breath but also energy moving through our bodies.
And you can either close your eyes or soften your gaze and begin to just really nurture the breath here.
Deepen the breath.
Locate the breath.
And if you can,
I invite you to begin watching to elongate that exhale by just a little bit each time.
So as you're sinking into that breath,
Really plugging into that exhale and extending it by just a little bit.
And going inward now,
Checking the state of your mind.
Taking note of any sensations,
Feelings,
Or thoughts.
Placing them in a box of sorts in your mind and placing that outside your space just for the time of our practice today.
And then together we're going to take three cleansing breaths before we deeply settle into meditation.
So I invite you to take a nice big belly breath,
Inhale in,
And exhale that out audibly.
Like a sigh.
And let's do that again,
Nice big belly,
Inhale in,
Exhale that out.
Each time sinking a little more deeply into your body and the breath.
Getting in last time,
Best breath yet.
And exhale that out.
And bringing any awareness to the spaces of the body where you might be holding or gripping.
The forehead space,
The outsides of the eyes,
The jaw,
Your shoulders,
Releasing those shoulders down the backside of the body.
Making any final adjustments as needed to your clothing,
The body,
Your space,
Whatever you need to be more deeply comfortable.
And as we begin our journey today,
We begin with setting the tone of our practice.
And we do that here with an intention or sankhapa.
So you can always create your own or plant the seed of the thought that I will share using my words as your words if they resonate.
So our sankhapa for today is,
I am grateful to renew and tend my soul garden with agreements,
Intentions,
Inspiration,
And a new lens that I might grow my soul flowers and live into my purpose and highest good.
I am grateful to renew and tend my soul garden with agreements,
Intentions,
Inspiration,
And a new lens that I might grow my soul flowers and live into my purpose and highest good.
I am grateful to renew and tend my soul garden with agreements,
Intentions,
Inspiration,
And a new lens that I might grow my soul flowers and live into my purpose and highest good.
So I invite you today to begin your journey today by becoming deeply aware of the state of your physical being and just notice how your body is feeling in this moment.
And as you recognize it,
Release that aspect of your experience as we move more deeply into the mind where we might take note of the mind space or emotions and how we're experiencing that right now.
So just noticing.
And now releasing that layer of awareness,
We go deeper yet into the intuition,
The senses beyond our thoughts.
Spend some time here noting the intuition.
And releasing this layer,
We move even more deeply into our connection to something bigger than ourselves,
A universal life force,
Something that you see mirrored right in your heart space and that place of bliss.
And as you find that even and steady inhale and exhale,
We begin our journey attending to our soul garden.
In your bliss space,
In the dark,
Inky vastness of beauty,
You see a doorway that is lit and white all the way around and is calling to you on a soul level.
So you walk up and open the door.
As bright sunlight shines in,
You begin to see a field of vast flowers in red,
A gorgeous sea of red roses with a path that winds through the center of it.
And as you walk through the blanket of deep red,
You begin to consider your relationships,
Family,
Friends who are family,
Your sense of belonging,
Your sense of safety.
How you love and care for yourself as you come upon a small clearing where you can see that there are both beautiful budding blooms and some blooms that have died and no longer have life.
Becoming aware that you were able to remove the old blooms from this beautiful space,
The beliefs,
The relationships,
The struggles that prevent you from living fully into your best life and lovingly remove the old petals.
And as you walk,
You sprinkle them on the earth behind you,
Not looking back,
Just lovingly and gently allowing them to cover the path behind you.
As you proceed down the path,
You come to a beautiful stone wall with a trellis covered in ivy and you press through into a field of orange poppy.
They are everywhere.
And once again,
The path winds and weaves through them.
You might imagine gently allowing your hands to graze the flowers as you walk through,
Feeling the soft petals and sensing their energy.
Seeing a spot where a blanket has been laid out and you take a seat in a circular space and contemplate here your connection to creativity,
Emotion,
Feeling connected to your dreams,
Boundaries and transformation.
And as you look at the beautiful vibrant poppies,
You sense that the older less vibrant petals signify what you need to release.
Those things that are no longer serving or boost your emotional well-being,
Goals,
Intimacy and creativity.
So once again,
Plucking the aging blooms and sweetly removing the petals.
As you begin to move down the path once again,
Releasing those petals onto the earth and letting go of those aspects that are not supporting your vibrant garden inside your soul.
Moving down the path,
You see a tall line of deep green lush hedge with a doorway cut out and you step through into a stunning sea of yellow sunflowers.
And they are so tall that some of them are taller than you are.
In this space,
There is a sense of power,
Confidence and the ability to create transformation in your life.
You can sense the smiling faces of the sunflowers as they almost turn to face you on this journey as though you are the sun for how you radiate your light and strength.
And as you walk through the canopy of gold,
You pause to note that some appear wilted having outgrown their time,
Pieces of their life that have atrophied and are ready to be released.
And then again,
You take and remove the petals as you release those thoughts,
Relationships or any of those areas that feel like they are preventing you from living fully into your power.
Letting those petals run through your fingers like water as you proceed down the path,
The carpet of gold behind you.
And now walking out of that canopy of gold and into a lush and verdant field of pink and green daisies.
Again that sense of the blooms being connected to your internal light as you consider this space just noticing those beautiful flowers where your heart feels lit up,
Where you feel accepted,
Loved,
Valued with a sense of compassion,
Acceptance,
Forgiveness.
In this space on the path you walk and contemplate the areas that need to be released that your heart can feel more deeply rooted in love and kindness.
And as you consider these areas,
You spot the petals on some of the stems that are beginning to brown and let go on their own so that you pluck the leftover petals in pink and green and drop these two onto the path you are walking on,
Releasing any heaviness in your heart.
The line of trees,
Willows now stand before you and they are like sentinels keeping watch over your heart.
They envelope you as you walk through and come out into a field of turquoise blue flowers that look like the ocean.
Pom-poms are sweet to look at and wave in the breeze as though dancing as you walk down the path.
In this space you begin to contemplate how you feel capable of speaking your truth,
Being listened to and communicating with those around you.
Sensing this crucial part of your journey in the garden as it signifies your capacity to voice your needs,
Boundaries,
Limits,
Truths.
It is the voice of your heart.
Winding your way down this path,
There is a space where you note some of the blooms have begun to wither in the sun,
Appearing to be lacking vitality and so you gently remove the petals again and free them from your fingers as you walk down the path,
Sensing the strength in your throat in that space of the songs you sing in your life in the form of sweetness,
Honesty,
Justice and love.
And proceeding through the turquoise ocean of flowers you come to a beautiful wooden fence where a door is open to an expanse of royal blue lupin.
It is stunning to see the field of tall blue flowers reaching toward the sun and you can hear the whisper of the flowers as they bump into one another and sense this is like the whisper of your intuition,
The knowingness within you,
The mind space where thoughts are generated,
Where beliefs are generated.
As you walk down that path,
The whispering of your spiritual consciousness is becoming louder,
Your wisdom is calling out to you to release the thoughts,
To release the blocks to your inner power.
Plucking the wilting petals off of the beautiful blue flowers as you go and again releasing those onto the earth in a sea of royal blue.
And walking down the path you come to a stone wall with a gate that is standing open and beyond that is an ocean of purple lavender.
The smell only enhances your journey.
As you walk in that sweetness you consider a connection to something beyond yourself,
Your place of purpose,
Your place among the cosmos,
Your sense,
Deep connection to all the things around you,
Flowers,
The sky,
The earth.
You do know that you are within it and it is within you.
You recall here that your cells completely regenerate and renew every seven years meaning there is a whole new world within you every seven years and that the atoms that make up these flowers,
The grass you are walking on,
It is within you and you are within the petals,
The dew,
The soil.
And pausing along the path here taking note of some of the lavender that has begun to fade and taking up handfuls of it and again releasing those onto the earth path as you walk up to a stone wall.
As you stand in a threshold of this wall in a carved doorway you look back and the earth stretches out behind you.
You take in the power of leaving the colored trail of intention behind yourself knowing that you release things from your garden that were no longer full of vitality but also pause here in deep gratitude as you ponder that all of that color even dampened will now recycle into the earth and as you left it there to do just that was all a part of your story,
Your journey,
Your purpose.
Seeing the value of the cyclical nature of our lives and fully aware that at some point those petals,
Stems and blooms once did fill your garden with life but as you look back you see how much more life is there and that removing the loss of vitality means that there is more room for new growth,
New experience and new choice.
And breathing in gratitude here just looking behind you and recalling your path through the roses,
The poppies,
Sunflowers,
Daisies,
Turquoise palms,
Lupine and lavender.
Seeing space for the new growth now and inviting in whatever form that takes for you as you breathe here.
All right.
And now we return to our sankalpa for practice.
Send it even more deeply through the layers of our being,
Using my words as your words if they resonate.
I'm grateful to renew and tend my soul garden with agreements,
Intentions,
Inspiration and a new lens that I might grow my soul flowers and live into my purpose and highest good.
I am grateful to renew and tend my soul garden with agreements,
Intentions,
Inspiration and a new lens that I might grow my soul flowers and live into my purpose and highest good.
I am grateful to renew and tend my soul garden with agreements,
Intentions,
Inspiration and a new lens that I might grow my soul flowers and live into my purpose and highest good.
Sitting in the vibration of those words,
The felt sense of your journey.
You begin to slowly come back into the space,
Allowing the body to shift from the journey back to where we are,
Back into the space of your space in your room.
Whatever you hear and see and feel around you and paying attention to how you are feeling right now,
Just noticing that.
And paying attention to your breathing and your body,
Your breathing and your body,
The breath and the body.
And beginning to run the thumbs across the ends,
The fingertips,
Slowly bringing sensation back in,
Fingertips,
The hands,
Maybe the palms.
Just sensing where your body is anchored and feeling the breath.
Pausing for a moment here to consider how you will take the felt sense of seeing through your clear spiritual lens.
To see the truth in the whole,
Seeing through the layers of what covers us,
What that looks and feels like,
What it feels like to renew that soul.
To honor the history and the story,
The old parts of things that no longer serve us.
And as we gently close our practice,
I am grateful for our time together and can feel the beauty of your sweethearts and your truth and vibration.
Seeing each of your soul gardens full of life and vitality.
I invite you to bring your hands to perposition and heart center if that's something that resonates for you.
I want to say to you the pure light and vibration in me honors the pure light and vibration in all of you,
Making us one from a place of love and light.
Namaste.
You can gently drop your chin to your chest and slowly flutter the eyes open,
Coming back into your space.
