Welcome to your yoga nidra,
Coming home to your true essence.
So begin by making yourself just completely comfortable.
Allowing the body to settle into the support beneath you.
And perhaps lying down onto your back and letting the arms just gently.
Rest away from the body here.
The palms turned upward in a gesture of receiving.
This time,
This time here is for you.
So taking any final movements that would allow your body to soften more deeply here.
And then allow yourself to find stillness.
So feel the ground beneath you.
Feel the steady support just holding you effortlessly.
There's nowhere to go.
Nothing to fix and there's nothing to figure out.
This is your time to simply arrive.
So take a slow,
Deep breath in through the nose.
And a gentle sigh out through the mouth.
Again,
Breathing in deeply.
And releasing slowly.
Allowing the jaw to soften a little bit of space between the teeth.
Letting the shoulders melt down and back and the belly to relax,
Becoming soft.
And as the body softens,
Allow the mind to soften too.
This practice is guided by the energy of love.
Of harmony.
Of integration.
A returning home to yourself.
The energy of allowing all parts of yourself to belong.
So begin now to set a gentle intention for this practice,
The sankalpa.
That was something forced.
Simply a truth that your soul is ready to embody.
Perhaps I am safe to be fully myself.
I return home to myself with love.
I allow myself.
To soften into self-compassion.
Or simply listen for what arises naturally within you.
I'm slowly bringing awareness to the body,
To the sound of my voice.
I'll be guiding you through the points of the body,
So allowing the awareness to just float and shift from one place to the next.
So bringing awareness to the crown of the head.
Nice deep breath here imagining a warm golden light that expands with each and every inhale.
And a subtle softening.
As you exhale.
So noticing the back of the head connected to the earth.
The shoulder blades.
The ribs just gently pressing softly into the earth with each and every inhale.
Noticing the sacrum connected,
Plugged in to the earth.
The backs of the legs,
The heels connected,
Heavy resting.
Noticing the soles of the feet.
And tips of the toes.
Tops of the feet.
Shant.
Tops of the thighs.
And torso soft and expansive with each and every inhale.
The breath easily moving through the throat with each and every inhale.
That soft hush on the exhale.
The jaw is soft.
Eyes are soft.
Space between the brow is soft.
The entire body is heavy,
Relaxed,
And fully supported here.
Just resting.
Breathing.
And being health.
Now bring awareness to the natural rhythm of your breath without a need to change it,
But just simply witnessing the experience of the breath as it moves through the body.
So feeling that inhale rise gently.
Through the body and Feel the exhale.
As the body softens and releases.
With each and every breath here,
Just allowing yourself to soften more deeply into a sense of surrender.
Imagine now that warm golden light surrounding your entire body.
It is soft,
Gentle,
And loving.
A light of compassion.
A light of unconditional acceptance.
This light does not ask you to become someone else.
It invites you simply to come home.
And now silently begin to explore within.
How can I open to love?
By letting all parts of myself be seen.
Not necessarily to the world.
But more importantly,
To be witnessed and held gently.
Tenderly.
By myself.
To allow myself to be forgiven for those times when I lost my way.
Calling myself back to center.
Back into alignment over and over and over again.
Releasing the need to fix or perfect,
But instead recalibrating through the lens of love.
Embracing light and dark.
Embracing all of me.
My true essence.
Knowing all parts of me serve a purpose as I evolve and grow.
And as I expand,
I can allow old narratives and false perceptions to fall away effortlessly.
Making space here for new insights to come in.
Allowing self-compassion to soften the seemingly inherent critical nature of the mind.
To allow myself to stop striving,
To stop seeking outside of myself.
And finally,
Surrender to my inner world.
Trusting its connection to universal energy.
To infinite wisdom.
Finally pausing long enough to truly listen.
To listen to my heart's longing.
To trust my soul's infinite urge to expand and evolve.
And to wholeheartedly believe that the life that I envision is not only possible.
But inevitable.
If I allow myself to invest in myself.
In my dreams and in my purpose.
Allowing myself to finally be seen.
And no longer fear judgment.
Knowing that by allowing the truth of who I am to be witnessed by others,
I invite in the possibility that I do not have to hold the heaviness of the world.
Of my world alone.
That I can support others and also allow myself to be supported.
To be supported,
To be seen.
To be howled.
To be loved.
And through that vulnerability.
Through our shared humanity,
A greater love can be sourced and shared.
That through this profound self-acceptance.
This courageous act of self-love.
And the tenderness of self-compassion.
My absolute essence will be unleashed.
And Mayan vision.
Becomes inevitable.
Now simply rest,
Nothing to do and nothing to force.
Allowing the words to settle gently into the body like water soaking into the earth.
Feel yourself resting into wholeness.
Resting in enoughness.
Resting in love.
Gently allowing your awareness to come back to your Sankalpa.
So the one that you chose for yourself were the ones that were offered.
I am safe to be fully myself.
I return home to myself with love.
I allow myself to soften into self-compassion.
Allowing yourself to slowly come back to the experience of the breath.
Noticing the inhale and the exhale.
Slowly beginning to deepen.
As you draw the air in.
Letting that body expand and exhale allowing yourself to feel the body once again resting on the earth beneath you noticing the room that you are in.
Just sensing,
Even with the eyes closed.
Sensing the temperature of the air.
Maybe the sounds in the room were just outside.
Allowing yourself before you return to just notice that seed that has been planted softly into the heart.
Trusting that something within you has shifted.
Has integrated,
Has softened.
So breathing here.
Letting the fingers wiggle,
The toes wiggle as you come back to the physical body.
And slowly returning in your own time.
And carrying this energy of love.
Of harmony.
Of coming home to yourself with you.
As you move into your day.
Your yoga nidra is now complete.
