Settle in beside the sea, let a sense of stillness soak into the body as you release any tension, tightness or anxiety within. Enraptured by the elements of the ocean, the body, mind and soul can finally let go and embrace a deep sense of peace, ease and serenity.

Welcome to your seaside meditation,

Serenity by the Sea.

Come in and settle in as you find your seat beside the sea.

Unfurl your towel and notice as it softly flutters in the wind,

Slowly floats down and finding its way to the sand.

Take a moment to nestle your feet into the warm,

Soft sand until the tips of the toes find that cool underlayer.

Reclining and letting the body surrender into the pillowy but supportive earth,

The sand just giving way to cradle you just perfectly.

Now just gently allow the eyes to close and sink heavy,

Letting the space between the brow soften and melt,

Just creating a slight space between the teeth as you allow the jaw to relax.

There is nowhere else you'd rather be,

The mind letting go and the body heavy and at ease.

Take a moment to just let the senses begin to drink in the soothing sounds that are surrounding you,

The gentle and rhythmic ebb flow of the waves,

The soft tumbling of water as it creeps its way slowly up the beach,

The smell of the salty air as you draw it deeply into the lungs,

The feeling of the sun just soaking into the skin as it creates a sense of ease and the body exhales,

Softening and relaxing,

The shoulders heavy,

Sinking down and back,

The heart center just gently opening,

Shining back towards the sun,

The hair is softly being tousled by the warm breeze coming off the water and the sounds of the gulls just playfully chatting in the distance as they dance among the clouds.

Take a moment to begin to get lost in the rhythm of the waves,

Pairing it with the flow of the breath,

Drawing the breath in and creating a sense of expansion within the body.

As this expansion continues,

Allow the spaciousness to increase and noticing any sensations that draw the attention.

Exhaling slowly,

Let there be a softening of any rough edges you may find,

Whether a physical sensation in the body,

The experience of the breath,

Or maybe in the quality of the thoughts.

Just simply notice here and come back to the breath,

Come back to that gentle rise and fall,

The expansion and contraction of the body,

The ebb and flow of the waves,

One breath at a time,

One wave at a time.

Completely immersed in the essence of this very moment,

Enchanted by the energy carried within each and every wave.

Imagining this energy slowly beginning to draw from the tips of the toes up to the crown of the head.

The warmth of the water soothing the system and letting the body further release,

Relax and let go.

Allowing the body to fill with a sense of serenity,

Of peace and of ease.

The mind floating effortlessly along with the ebb and flow of the waves.

That gentle rise and fall of the breath.

The body gently warming in the sun.

Soft,

Free and as expansive as the horizon that runs along the edge of the sea.

Surrendering into the stillness,

Into that sense of expansiveness here.

Time moves slowly yet somehow the sun has begun to set and you notice a slight shift in the breeze and a coolness settling into the air.

Bringing just enough awareness into your being to capture the beauty of the setting sun.

A blending and blurring of colors.

The soft hues,

Sherbet orange melting into that daffodil yellow.

That soft sea moss green.

Sapphire blue.

The sun slowly starting to sink.

The strength of the rays of the sun and the warm breeze begin to soften.

The waves are now calm,

Gentle and smooth.

The body still,

Soft and relaxed.

The mind calm,

Slow and serene.

The energy fluid and flying effortlessly throughout the body.

Breathe here and simply allow yourself to be here in this bliss of this very moment.

Slowly bringing awareness back to the breath.

Allow it to slowly begin to deepen.

Noticing the coolness of the air drawing into the lungs.

As it enters the nose.

And then the warmth as you exhale.

Noticing that gentle rise and fall of the chest.

That gentle expansion and contraction of the belly.

Knowing this day must come to an end.

Gently bringing a little bit of movement into the fingers and the toes as you slowly and gently come back to the body.

Slowly letting the eyes flutter open as you come back to the space that you were in.

The body calm and refreshed.

The mind serene and soul at peace.
