Namaste.

My name is Kristin and welcome to this Yogatitra or non-sleep deep rest experience for the new moon Amavasya.

This is a potent time to honour deep rest and self-care practices to honour oneself,

To recharge your internal battery and to reflect upon the essence of all of your efforts put forth.

It is a time to lean into the healing darkness,

To reveal what lies beneath the surface,

To welcome in your wildest dreams and deepest desires,

To honour what the universe has brought forth and to let go of attachments to things that no longer serve our purpose here.

A time of new beginnings,

A time to welcome in new intentions,

A potent time for manifestations.

Just as important as the energy of the full moon,

The new moon is a moment for you to become an energetic match for receiving the realization of oneself,

Creativity,

Self-expression just like the moon.

Now it is time to renew oneself.

Take a few moments here to get your body completely comfortable.

Reaching for pillows,

A blanket,

An eye pillow,

You might even tuck yourself in.

Ensure that the body feels comfortable,

Safe and warm.

Are there any final micro-adjustments you could make to become even just 1% more comfortable?

Let yourself lean into the healing nature of stillness,

Quietude.

Begin to relax the eyes,

Softening all of the tiny muscles behind the eyes.

Unclench the eyebrows and smooth out the forehead.

Relax the jaw.

Soften the tongue.

Let go of any expression left on the face.

Allow the weight of the head and neck to soften down into your pillow,

Knowing that you are settling in for the practice of yoga nidra,

Conscious sleep or non-sleep deep rest.

Now it is time to rest.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Begin to welcome in a sense of your surroundings.

Leaning into the quiet of the night,

Sensing the earth beneath you and the sky above you.

A sense of the vast night sky.

Let your awareness expand to the depths of the darkness of the night sky.

Across the landscape,

Animals retreating back home to their dens to prepare for slumber.

Flowers quietly tucking their petals in.

The mountains tied quietly retreating back home to mother ocean.

Leaning into the quiet of the night.

Welcome in a sense of the healing darkness all around you now.

Notice the atmosphere of air that surrounds you.

The gentle touch of air against the skin.

The sensation of the breath in the nostrils.

The sensation of the breath in the lungs.

Breath flowing in and breath flowing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Effortless.

Lungs infleting.

And deflating.

Diaphragm rising.

And falling.

Whole body resting.

Relaxing back.

The breath soft,

Quiet.

As if the body were already sleeping.

Peaceful and quiet.

Settling in under the blanket of the night.

In this place of rest,

Could you welcome in a sense of your inner refuge?

An inner sanctuary?

Visualize the most sacred,

Humble place that brings you a sense of peace,

Calm,

Safety,

Wholeness.

Perhaps a place in nature.

In the light of the day or in the quiet of the night.

In solitude or with beloveds.

A place from memory or perhaps just imagination.

Welcome in this healing refuge as if you were resting there now.

Bask in it.

A warm blanket of peace and calm.

With this sense of peace and calm within,

Begin to welcome in your sankalpa.

Just as the night sky reveals the brilliance of shimmering stars,

Allow the darkness to reveal what your heart needs.

What lies beneath the surface.

Your heart's deepest longing.

You might already be working with a sankalpa or perhaps you might use one of the following.

I am resting deeply now to reveal my heart's deepest desires and I trust my heart knows what it needs.

Or I am open to receiving the wisdom and magic of new beginnings and let go of what no longer serves me here.

Or I can clearly see the blessings all around me and everything I need is within me.

Calling in your sankalpa three times.

Affirm it as if it existed here and now.

As you rest,

Awake and aware.

We'll begin a rotation of consciousness throughout the body.

Allow your awareness to saturate each point as it is called.

To ignite a brilliant shimmering point of light.

As if you were lighting up the constellation of sensations within the body.

Awakening to the magic within.

Tons lingering beneath the surface.

Draw all of your awareness now to the tip of the tongue.

Ten thousand taste buds within the mouth.

Sensing the root of the tongue.

Inside the walls of the cheeks.

The space between the lips.

Cheekbones.

Temples.

Eyebrows.

The tip of the nose.

The gentle flow of air within the nostrils.

Sensing the eyes resting back.

Softening behind the eyelids.

Relaxing into the darkness beyond the eyelids.

Center of the forehead.

Crown of the head.

Back of the head.

Sensing the right ear.

The outer ear.

Eerlope.

Deep within the right ear.

Sensing the right ear listening intimately.

Notice the left ear.

The outer ear.

Eerlope.

Sensing deep within the left ear.

Notice the left ear not only hearing but listening.

Both ears welcoming in sounds.

Sounds of this recording.

The sounds of the night.

Drawing awareness to the back of the throat.

The pit of the throat.

Right side of the chest.

The right side lung.

The right shoulder.

Upper arm.

Elbow.

Forearm.

Wrist.

The right hand.

Palm of the hand.

Back of the hand.

Thumb.

First finger.

Second.

Third.

Little finger.

The tips of the fingers.

Sensing the whole right hand.

Alive with sensation.

A constellation of points within the right hand.

The wrist.

Elbow.

Shoulder.

Right side of the chest.

Center of the chest.

Moving awareness over to the left side of the chest.

The left side lung.

The left shoulder.

Upper arm.

Elbow.

Overarm and wrist.

The left hand.

Palm of the hand.

Back of the hand.

Thumb.

First finger.

Second.

Third.

Little finger.

All five fingers.

Sensing the whole left hand.

Sensation like a constellation of points illuminating in the left hand.

The wrist.

Elbow.

Shoulder.

Left side of the chest.

Center of the chest.

Sternum.

Heart center.

The lungs.

Both lungs.

The diaphragm.

Rising and falling.

The side ribs.

Expanding.

Contracting.

Naval center.

The low belly.

The low back.

Sacrum.

The right hip.

Upper leg.

Knee.

Lower leg.

Ankle.

The right foot.

Heel.

Sole of the foot.

And top of the foot.

Big toe.

Second.

Third.

Fourth.

Free toe.

Sensing the whole right foot.

Tingling with sensation.

The ankle.

Knee.

Hip.

Naval center.

The left hip.

Upper leg.

Knee.

Lower leg.

Ankle.

The left foot.

Heel.

Sole of the foot.

And top of the foot.

Big toe.

Second.

Third.

Fourth.

Baby toe.

Feeling the whole left foot.

Ankle.

Knee.

The left hip.

Sensing both legs simultaneously.

And the whole torso.

Both arms.

Allow awareness to fill the whole back side of the body.

And the whole front side of the body.

Drawing all of your awareness into the right hemisphere of the body.

And awareness over into the left hemisphere of the body.

The whole body alive as radiant sensations.

Like a constellation of stars.

Awakened within.

The whole body resting deeply.

Trillions of cells.

Like the brilliant light of trillions of stars in the night sky.

Shimmering with sensations throughout the whole body.

Begin to notice the gentle rhythm of the natural breath.

And observe the transitions between the breath.

The turning points.

Slow.

Smooth.

Heartless.

Easeful in the changes that occur within the cycle of the breath.

Just like the changes in life.

Navigating through new waters.

Changes or transitions with ease.

Completely effortless in the cycle of the breath.

You might observe the space at the end of the exhale.

The fertile void.

Like the void of potential.

At the end of the breath.

In the darkness.

Like that of the new moon.

A place of endless possibilities.

The darkness revealing what lies beneath the surface.

Trust in the healing darkness.

Only to see that after each transition arises the inhale.

The exhale.

And the void.

Giving birth to the inhale.

A new beginning.

Again.

And again.

Trusting in the wisdom of the breath.

Like the wisdom and the magic of new beginnings.

Like that of the new moon.

Letting go of observing the breath.

Begin to notice a sense of the night sky above you now.

The brilliant stars shimmering amidst the darkness of the night and the quiet of the new moon.

Your heart smiles at the vast magnificence of the universe all around you.

The moth that softly floats on by.

The flickering of glow bugs all around you.

The lullaby of crickets.

An owl resting in a tree nearby.

Observing what stirs in the night.

Wise and ancient.

Above you trillions of stars.

Galaxies.

The milky way.

Welcoming in all that surrounds you now.

And the beauty that lies within the darkness.

You are safe and relaxed here now.

Letting go of past tensions and circumstances as you move forward.

Allow the tranquility and peace of the night sky to bring you a sense of calm and wholeness within.

And as the night grows quiet under the new moon.

The stars emerging out of the darkness.

Reminding you that everything you could ever need is right here within you.

Within the quietude.

You are filled with love,

Compassion and the brilliance of your own authenticity.

Trusting in what is revealed here under the new moon.

Rest back into the quiet that exists here and now.

Beneath the night sky.

The brilliance of shimmering stars.

Reminding you of the brilliance that exists within you.

Sometimes it just takes a little remembering.

Resting here as pure spacious awareness.

Jasmine.

And begin to recall your Senkopa.

I am resting deeply now to reveal my heart's deepest desires and I trust that my heart knows what it needs.

Or I am open to receiving the wisdom and magic of new beginnings and let go of what no longer serves me here.

Or I can clearly see the blessings all around me and everything I need is within me.

Calling it in,

Affirming it,

Setting a new intention.

During this time of a new beginning,

A new cycle is emerging and you get to decide,

You get to create your path,

The direction in which you wish your life to go.

INoKapparola Long time continues Welcome in a sense of the vast ocean of air all around you now.

The freshest air of a warm summer night.

The freshest air you've ever tasted.

Take a deep breath in and a deeper breath out.

The breath of new beginnings.

Begin to count up to five.

With each breath,

Breathing in.

One breathing out.

One inhale.

Two exhale.

Two to the count of five.

Each inhale,

A new beginning.

Each inhale,

Emerging from the fertile void.

With the potential that lingers under the new moon.

Like the sun rising,

Following the night of the new moon.

Begin to welcome in a sense of awakening.

Emerging from a deep slumber.

Rested.

Humbled.

Open to what the universe has in store for you.

This new cycle.

You may continue to rest as long as you need.

Basking in the afterglow of the relaxation you may have cultivated here in your practice.

Take as long as you need.

When you feel ready,

You might begin to wiggle the fingers,

Wiggle the toes.

Nod the head from side to side.

Move your eye pillow to welcome the light back in.

You might enjoy a nice big long stretch.

Like all of the animals coming out of their dens,

Ready for a new day.

I'd like to thank you so much for practicing with me today.
