Before the day picks up speed,

Pause.

Settle into stillness.

Let your eyes close and feel the steady rhythm of your breath.

Right now,

It's just you,

In this space,

At the start of a new day.

Imagine a tree growing from the base of your spine.

Feel the trunk extending upward,

Strong and steady,

Lengthening your spine and opening into the branches and leaves of a beautiful,

Thriving tree.

And from that same base,

Sense the tree's roots growing downward,

Extending deep into the earth.

As you become rooted and grounded,

Allow any tension or worries to flow down through those roots,

Leaving space for steadiness and ease.

Now from this place of connection,

Bring to mind something you're grateful for.

It could be the air you breathe,

Your family,

Your friends,

Or simply the gift of being here.

Whatever it is,

Let that gratitude settle into you.

Feel it fully,

And feel gratitude merging with your sense of groundedness.

Feel both together as you continue to breathe.

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in,

And slowly release.

This day is yours.

Stay rooted,

Stay open,

And have a wonderful day.
