Welcome my friend,
My name is Chris and today we're using the breath to soften the heart,
Release emotional pain and gently open the places inside you that may have been closed for protection.
You don't have to force anything,
You don't have to be okay,
Just let the breath create space where the heart feels tight or guarded.
First find a comfortable place to sit or lie down,
Let your shoulders rise up to your ears,
Then let them melt down your back,
Opening the heart space.
And let's take one deep grounding breath together,
Take a slow inhale through the nose and let it all out the mouth sighing out loud.
Beautiful,
Now let's begin.
For our first round we'll use a Sufi heart-centered breath,
You'll inhale through the nose for four counts and exhale through the mouth for four counts.
As you breathe,
Imagine the breath moving in and out of your heart space,
Right at the center of your chest.
Let's go,
In,
Out,
That's it,
In through the nose,
Out,
Keep it going.
Let's massage the heart from the inside,
Breathe as if you're giving your heart permission to rest.
Whatever's ready to open,
Nothing,
The nose for four counts and exhale for eight counts with a gentle hum,
Keeping the mouth closed.
Let the sound be soft and natural,
Feeling the vibration in your chest and throat.
Let's do it,
In,
Into a slow steady coherent breath,
Inhaling through the nose for eight counts and exhaling through the nose for eight counts.
This long even rhythm helps the heart settle and brings your whole system into balance.
Follow my count and let the breath smooth everything out.
Here we go,
In,
Each exhale,
Feel the heart settling,
Let this breath be a quiet reminder,
Let your breath return to its natural rhythm now.
Just the soft rise,
Feel the space you've created around the heart,
The lightness,
The warmth,
And just allow whatever is here,
Emotion,
Ease,
Ease,
To settle gently inside you and allow your heart to rest.
As you slowly return,
Notice how your heart feels now.
Perhaps softer,
Clearer,
Or simply more open.
Healing doesn't always happen in big moments,
Often it begins quietly,
One breath at a time.
Thank you for breathing with me,
For showing up for your heart,
And for allowing yourself to feel again.
Carry the softness with you and return whenever you need support.
Thank you and have a beautiful rest of your day.
