Take a moment now to rest your body in whatever position that you're in.
Let your arms be heavy.
Let your back and shoulders soften.
Relax all the muscles in your face and let your head be heavy.
Soften your hips,
Your legs and your feet.
Feel yourself sink in to the space where you are,
This sacred space that you've created for this meditation.
Slowly,
Slowly fill your belly with fresh air and your lungs and breathe it all out again through your mouth.
With each deep breath,
Relax your body even further.
With each deep breath,
Give your cares and concerns all away.
Come now into this moment.
Bring your energy into this moment.
Be present for this moment.
Now picture yourself sitting on the edge of a calm and luscious river on a late afternoon in summer.
The clear emerald water slowly flows past just a short distance from where your feet are resting.
The sunshine glimmers on the surface.
The warm breeze drifts over your skin and the earth beneath you holds you strong.
The sky above you is vast and infinite and it reflects in the water a sense of violet hued peace.
The day slowly fades around you and you take a full breath in and out,
Completely relaxing every muscle,
Every bone,
Every bit of tension in your body.
With every deep breath you become more and more aware of the energy of your heart.
Inside your heart space lives a rainbow of emotions that yearn to be released,
That yearn to be felt,
Seen,
Honored and surrendered.
Your heart holds all the emotions that you've ever forgotten,
But here in this sacred space that you've created,
Here is a safe place to release them all.
These emotions can't hurt you and no memories need to be brought back.
These emotions can be released by simply surrendering the sensation,
Letting them move through you into the infinite expanse that is around you,
Where they will be free and so will you.
One by one now you take each emotion,
No matter how heavy it feels,
And you hold it in your hands.
As you witness it without any judgement,
You see with eyes full of grace and compassion how this emotion needs to move through you.
Take a moment to appreciate the gifts that this emotion holds on a soul level and with ease you give it to the river.
The water tucks it in,
Folds it quietly and lovingly into its depths.
Slowly and surely it dissolves the tension within each offering until only peace remains in your heart.
Take your time sending each emotion that arises into the water.
Give her all your cares.
Whatever feelings of discomfort arise,
There's no need to label them,
Just send them into the river.
Let her transmute these into light.
Let the river hold these emotions that you need not hold anymore.
Let her take all your cares and absolve them.
Let the emotions be healed.
Let your heart be healed.
Let it soften.
Let it all go.
Be healed now.
Soften and let it go.
Let it all go into the sacred river.
Your body now feels lighter.
Your life force flows effortlessly all through and around your body and your energy shines so bright.
You take some deep belly breaths and give thanks to the river for her alchemy today.
When you're ready,
Begin to slowly stretch your body,
Your arms,
Your neck,
Your legs.
Feel how renewed you are now.
Clear of the darkness that was blocking your view.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
