In this 45-minute yin yoga class, we move through yin poses designed to stimulate and balance the Lung and Large Intestine meridians, which govern our breath, our boundaries, and our capacity to release what no longer serves us. In this session we will: open and soften the chest, shoulders, and arms, stimulate the Lung and Large Intestine meridian lines, and work with grief, transition, and the art of letting go. In Chinese medicine, the Lungs hold grief and the capacity for inspiration — in every sense of the word. The Large Intestine reminds us that release is not loss, but a necessary part of the cycle. Come to this practice whenever you feel heavy, contracted, or ready to turn inward. This class is suitable for all levels. Props recommended: a bolster or folded blankets and an optional eye pillow for savasana.
