Welcome to this Ocean Meditation.
Let's begin by finding your most comfortable seated position.
Take a moment to relax the shoulders.
Release the jaw.
Soften the eyes and the eyelids.
Now visualize the vast expanse of the ocean.
With you,
Seated at the shore.
Feel the gentle warmth of the sun and the reflection of its brilliant rays glistening on the surface of the sea.
Hear the sound of the waves gently crashing along the shore.
And the soft release of the waves back into the ocean.
Now bring your attention to your breath wherever you feel it most easily.
Perhaps that's at the belly.
Or maybe you feel it at the chest.
Or maybe you feel your breath at the very tip of your nose.
As you sit along the shore,
Feel the gentle flow of your breath.
As you inhale through the nose and exhale from the mouth.
Breathing in through the nose.
And gently releasing from the mouth.
As you hear the waves crashing onto the shore,
You breathe in deeply.
As you hear the waves slowly retreating back into the ocean,
You exhale.
Your breath flowing with the ocean.
Inhaling.
The waves gently roll in.
Exhaling.
The wave dissipates back into the sea.
Continue to take these deep breaths in through the nose and out from the mouth.
Synchronizing your breath with the waves of the ocean.
Now take one final deep inhalation.
As the waves gently ascend onto the shore.
Complete exhale out from the mouth.
The wave gently rolls back into the sea.
