Hello and welcome.
This will be a short guided visualization and meditation practice all for the purpose of assisting you in embodying and feeling into the version of yourself that you wish to be.
Oftentimes you'll hear teachers speak about this as your future self or your future you and the most beautiful thing is that while we will be using visualization practices and breath work practices to help you drop into a space to visualize the future version of you that you are wishing to become,
Also keep in mind that this future version is available to you right now.
The things that you are about to visualize,
What comes up,
It's all coming from you and because it's coming from you it is you.
It's possible.
If it weren't possible you wouldn't be able to dream it up.
I share this just so that you feel that empowerment from the very beginning.
If I can see it,
If I can feel it,
Then there must be truth in this.
This part of me must be somewhere within me already just waiting to be brought forth.
So let's dive in.
I invite you to just find a comfortable seated or lying down position,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
And now just gently close your eyes as we bring our attention inward.
Starting at the top of your head,
Just relaxing your brow,
Softening the corners of your eyes,
Allowing your teeth to separate just a little bit to relax your jaw.
And dropping the tip of your tongue from the roof of your mouth.
Let each gentle breath in guide you deeper and let each soft flowing exhale out soften you.
Now check in with your shoulders.
If it feels good for you,
Gently rolling them up toward your ears,
Pulling them back,
Shoulder blades together and then dropping them down.
You can do this a few more times if it feels good for you.
Each time seeing if you can drop a little bit further.
Now if you're lying down or seated,
Feel your spine against the back of the chair or the floor or if you're seated upright,
Just see if you can tap into that strong neutral spine that holds you.
Realizing that this is your anchor,
That it draws you deeper and deeper toward your abdomen,
Toward the weight of your hips.
As you feel your legs relax,
If you're lying down,
Feeling your feet splay open.
And let's take a slow deep breath together.
We're going to inhale through your nose.
We'll pause at the top and then just exhale softly through your mouth.
I'll guide you through.
Empty your lungs,
Let all that air out.
Let's take a slow breath in through your nose,
Feeling your belly rise to the sky,
Your chest open just a little bit.
Now pause at the top,
Feeling the fullness of your breath and a gentle sigh as you exhale out your mouth.
Beautiful.
Let's do it again.
Slow breath in through your nose,
Maybe noticing your rib cage grow wide,
Your ribs spreading apart,
Your chest opening even further.
Pausing at the top for a moment,
Feeling more relaxed,
More at ease.
And then an open mouth,
Sigh,
Just let it go.
And one more time.
Slow breath in,
Seeing if you can fill up a little bit more,
Taking it nice and slow and patiently.
Pausing at the top.
And an open mouth,
Sigh,
Just let it go.
Beautiful.
Now continue with this slow breath as long as you like.
You can bring your attention and your awareness to it a little bit longer if you need more time to drop in.
Otherwise,
Follow my lead.
I want you to envision yourself just six months into your future,
Living a life that is more ideal than it is right now.
Maybe it's just one piece or one facet.
Maybe it's a part that's tied to your career,
Your relationships,
Your finances,
Your health.
Just pick one thing for now.
Once you have that one thing,
Paint the picture a little bit further.
Spread it out.
Take the visual of this ideal situation in this one area of your life and color it in.
Where are you?
What are you doing in this space?
Is there anyone there with you?
And how do you feel when you're in this ideal scenario?
I want you to look at this visualization as if you are in your body,
Not from outside observing.
As you look down at your body and your hands as you normally would in everyday life,
Notice what you're wearing and just get curious about that.
Is there a certain type of color or a certain fabric or a way that the clothing you choose or chose fits your body?
Just notice it.
And now notice how it feels,
This clothing on your body.
How do you feel when you dress like this?
Do you feel comfortable?
Do you feel powerful?
Do you feel sexy?
Do you feel admired?
Do you feel loved?
Just notice.
Now that you're further into this embodiment,
Let's take the ideal situation out of it and go further into how you feel and the behaviors of this version of you.
Notice the qualities that you hold.
Notice the habits of this future self.
What are the regular thoughts that run through your mind?
What do you believe about yourself?
What do you believe about the world all around you?
How do these beliefs show up in your life?
If you believe that you are powerful or if you feel sexy,
What does that look like in your everyday life?
How do you dress?
How do you walk?
How do you enter a room?
How do you change the molecules of every space you occupy?
What are the emotions here?
Do you feel joy?
Do you feel confidence?
Do you feel peace?
Do you feel fear?
Again,
Just notice it without needing to do anything about it.
Now that you have a clearer picture,
Notice if there's any change in sensation from when you began and how quickly you can drop into this space of awareness,
Of imagination,
Of possibility.
That's all you.
This is emerging with that future self.
You're absorbing these qualities and feelings into your present being.
Imagine how amazing is that,
That this future version of you is not even far away at all.
It's right here.
If it calls to you,
If your visuals feel strong,
Imagine that you are walking toward a mirror.
It's a large,
Full-length mirror,
Surrounded in gold,
Casting a bright light of reflection.
If it feels right,
Walk up to this mirror.
And as you meet your gaze,
Take in this visual.
Whatever you want to bring into your life or to experience,
It all starts right here.
It starts within this gaze.
It starts within your body.
The more you can come back to this feeling,
This knowing of clarity,
That future version will not seem so far away at all.
And the most beautiful thing,
The most fun thing,
Is that then you get to watch how it all unfolds.
You don't need to know what to do.
Just keep coming back to this feeling.
It's you.
Taking a moment longer to just observe yourself in this beautiful reflection.
That's you.
It's always been you.
If it wasn't,
You wouldn't be able to see it.
And if you're having trouble seeing anything,
Just notice the feeling.
Because that's the point.
The feeling is enough.
Now I want you to silently repeat the following affirmations.
You can do it in your mind.
You can say it out loud if you feel comfortable or whisper it.
But take your time.
I'll give you the space to let it sink in.
I am becoming the best version of myself.
I embody the qualities of my future self right now.
I am already aligned with my highest potential.
Everything I desire is available to me.
Effective immediately.
Now slowly return to your breath.
Drawing your awareness back to the rise and fall.
Just bringing yourself back to this moment.
And if you're enjoying this space,
You can just stay here.
You don't have to come back just yet.
As you feel the breath guiding you back,
You can wiggle your fingers or your toes to bring life back into your body.
And only when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
Maybe curling on to your side if that feels comforting.
Carrying the feelings and the insights from this meditation into your day.
When we align our energy and our emotions with our desired materializations or manifestations,
That's when the magic really starts to happen.
That's when we realize it's not about the things.
It's not about getting anything.
Because the feeling is already enough.
If you'd like,
You can stay right here.
Allowing yourself to drift a little bit further.
And come back to this meditation anytime you want.
Every time you can explore a new facet of your dreams and your desires.
And give yourself the opportunity to just tap in to the amazing world that's within you.
Thank you so much for joining me.
I believe in you.
And welcome home.

Beautiful meditation. I loved the cadence and the visualization of future self, it helped to really feel what I want in the future rather than to just think about it.

I had been searching for a meditation to guide me back to my sense of inner wisdom and knowing, and this found me exactly at the time I needed it most. The pacing was so supportive to my nervous system as I tend to get caught in my head and dissociate when it comes to “future” visualizations; I appreciated how your guidance felt like a gentle invitation to soften into my body (where I have historically not felt safe being in, especially when I’m faced with unknowns and fears around uncertainty). It was so different for me to be able to see myself in the garments - this was a first for me, yet the vision and sensation of the flow, weight and fabric of the garments I was wearing felt like “me” and the words that came immediately without hesitation were “fully expressed”, “confidence”, and I could see myself so clearly in the space I was in, moving around and interacting with others yet so in flow. Interestingly, when it came time for me to see myself closer up in the reflection, I felt a strong block that came in the form of a shadow, cast over my face, where I couldn’t make out my own expression. It was similar to the sensation of getting my pupils dilated, not being able to focus, and I was in the dark - despite there being so much light. I felt the rising sensations of resistance, frustration, and disappointment initially; and as I sat with my breath, I felt myself softening more into patience, allowing the resistance to just be there, and did not feel afraid. I am going to be returning to this meditation as a regular practice as I believe it will continue to bring me closer to the shadows and the stories they hold around what it means to be able to fully see my reflection as this expressed self. I am grateful for this experience and for the insight it has brought me - thank you for your guidance in leading us here with your light as we meet ourselves back home.
