Root to Rise: Release is a guided meditation to help your nervous system gently soften what it’s been holding. Through mindful breath, grounding awareness, and compassionate somatic guidance, this practice invites you to loosen tension, process stored emotions, and create spaciousness within. This isn’t about forcing change — it’s about giving your body permission to exhale, unwind, and trust its natural rhythm of release.

Hello,

My friend,

And welcome to Root to Rise.

My name is Kirby,

And whether we have met before or this is your first time hearing my voice,

I am so grateful that you're here.

This will be a three-part audio series designed to help you settle into your system,

To help you clear what's in the way,

And to help you open to what is meant for you.

These practices will follow the natural rhythm of transformation to regulate and feel safe in the body,

To release any subconscious blocks or beliefs that you don't deserve or are not ready to call in what you're desiring,

And to be able to hold and receive what you want.

In this first session,

You'll return to your baseline of safety,

That place where your body remembers how to soften,

How to land,

And how to feel supported.

In the second,

You'll gently unwind what's been held in your system,

The tension,

The stories,

And the old protective patterns that no longer match who you're becoming.

And in the third,

You'll shift into a somatically receptive state,

Connecting with that expanded version of who you already are,

But that version that feels more grounded,

More clear,

And more capable.

Each track is intentionally simple,

It's body-led,

And it's grounded in nervous system awareness.

My deepest hope is that these practices help you reconnect with your inner steadiness,

That inner rootedness,

Creating space for what is true for you,

And to help you rise into your life with more clarity,

More capacity,

And self-trust.

Whenever you're ready,

We'll begin.

Part 2 Release Let yourself land somewhere comfortable,

Either seated or lying down,

Somewhere your body can soften without needing to perform,

Without needing to be good at meditating.

Just here,

Just you,

Just this breath.

Take a slow,

Easy breath in through your nose,

And an even slower,

Gentle breath out.

Feel the weight of your body begin to settle,

Like sand gently sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

No rush,

No force,

Just gravity supporting you.

Let your shoulders melt,

Let your jaw soften and loosen,

Let your belly be relaxed.

And if the mind is busy,

That's okay,

There's nothing wrong with you,

Your mind is just showing you what it's still holding on to.

Let today be about loosening the grip,

Even if it's just a little bit,

On what you've been carrying,

On what's been weighing your system down,

On the tension that your nervous system has quietly adapted to.

Breathing in gently,

And exhaling completely.

Now begin to notice,

Is there something in your life right now that feels heavy,

Unfinished,

Looping,

Lingering in your body?

You don't have to figure it out,

You don't need to name it perfectly,

Just allow your body to speak,

Allow it to show you through the tightness in the body,

The tension that you feel through the chest,

Or a knot in your stomach,

Or even a restlessness in your heart.

Whatever it is,

Place a gentle awareness there,

Imagining that place in your body and your mind's eye,

Like you're placing a warm hand on that part of yourself,

Letting it know that it doesn't have to hold everything alone,

Not anymore.

Breathe into that place softly,

And exhale with the energy of letting go just a little bit further.

Not forcing release,

Not demanding healing,

Just loosening the grip.

Because release is not about pushing anything away,

It's about giving your system permission to just exhale.

Let's work with the breath for just a little bit.

Empty your lungs,

Exhaling all that air out,

And now inhale slowly through the nose for 4,

3,

2,

Hold gently at the top,

And exhale out the mouth for 6,

5,

4,

3,

2,

1.

Inhale 2,

3,

4,

Hold it just for a second,

And exhale 2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Let's do 2 more,

Inhaling,

Holding at the top,

And gentle exhale out as you relax the body.

One more time,

Inhaling through the nose for 2,

3,

4,

Hold it.

And a long,

Extended exhale out the mouth.

Good.

Imagine every exhale is just a soft breeze moving through your inner world,

Clearing the dust from forgotten corners,

Unclenching what's been bracing.

You don't have to release the whole story today,

Just enough to breathe again.

Many of us think release means getting rid of something,

But release is really about allowing.

Allowing your system to feel what never got felt,

Allowing the wave of emotion to pass that once got trapped inside you,

Allowing your body to complete what it once had to suppress to stay safe.

You are not broken for holding tension,

It means your body did its job,

It protected you.

So instead of trying to fix,

Can you simply thank your body.

Thank you for holding this for as long as you needed to.

You don't have to hold it alone anymore.

Breathe that in,

Imagining with each breath a soft unwinding happening deep within the body,

Like a tightly knotted rope beginning to loosen.

Just gently yielding to safety and permission.

With every inhale you invite compassion,

And with every exhale you let something soften even more.

Maybe you release a memory,

A self-expectation,

A story,

A tension,

A pattern,

A way that you've been bracing for life.

Whatever it is,

Let it know it's safe to ease now.

Often we hold on to these stories because they help validate our experience,

But in this space of openness I'd love for you to ask yourself,

Who could I be without this?

Noticing your body,

Noticing your breath,

Noticing the shift even if it's small.

Release often doesn't feel dramatic,

Sometimes it feels like a quiet relief,

Like space,

Like nothing at all.

Later,

You realize you're a little bit lighter.

Trust whatever your experience is because you have done something powerful simply by pausing and meeting yourself.

In this moment,

Breathing in deeply,

And exhale with an audible sigh.

Feel the ground beneath you,

Supporting you,

Steady inside.

You're learning that you can let go gently.

You can loosen the old without losing yourself.

You can release and still be safe.

And as you continue this route to rise journey,

Remember,

Every release creates space,

And everything you're ready to rise into requires this space to bloom.

Whenever you're ready,

Bringing a little movement to your fingers and toes,

Rolling your shoulders or your neck gently as you slowly open your eyes.

More rooted,

A little softer,

A little clearer,

And gently more free.

Thank you.
