You might be caring more than anyone ever sees the sleepless nights,
The invisible load the quiet ache of loving something so much it hurts even when your baby rests,
Your mind might not your heart might feel full,
Yet empty,
All at once so for these next few minutes,
You don't have to do anything you don't have to fix,
Or be strong just breathe so when you're ready,
Settle in,
And let's begin start by feeling the surface beneath you whether you're sitting,
Lying down,
Or holding your baby feel how the earth is holding you too notice your breath,
No need to make it deep,
Just notice if your body feels tense,
Exhausted,
Or numb,
That's ok you've been giving so much,
This is your time to receive sometimes,
When we're this tired,
We don't need rest we shut down our minds wander,
Our hearts go quiet and our bodies feel far away it's not wrong,
It's protection can you notice any of that in yourself right now?
Maybe a heaviness in your eyes a fog in your thoughts a distant feeling in your chest if you do,
I invite you to whisper softly to yourself right now that even this is ok even this is part of healing now try taking a gentle breath into your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth with a sigh beautiful imagine your breath as a soft wave washing through your body reminding every cell that you are safe and with your next breath try feeling the difference between shutting down and softening between escape and exhale don't need to disappear,
To rest you can stay and let yourself be held now place one hand over your heart and if it feels right,
The other over your belly the space that carried life and now ask for gentleness take one more slow breath into your nose and a long,
Slow exhale through your mouth you are healing you can stay here as long as you need and may this rest ripple through you so that your body,
Your mind and your heart can remember what it feels like to be cared for goodbye love until next time
