Welcome to this guided meditation to support you on the journey of motherhood.
Getting in a comfortable position and taking a nice deep breath.
Placing your hands over your baby and feeling the tips of your fingers just touching each other.
As you take a nice deep breath in,
You'll feel your fingertips coming apart a centimetre or so.
And as you exhale,
You'll feel the tips of your fingers coming back together again.
As you continue to focus on this breath,
Repeating to yourself,
I can do this.
I can do this.
Giving yourself this time each evening,
Even as you're drifting off to sleep,
To practice your breathing,
To focus your intention on believing that you can do this.
This breath will help to quieten your mind,
To reduce stress,
Anxiety and overwhelm,
To create the room for your uterus as it will expand out with each surge.
So as you breathe in,
You'll be creating that room for your baby,
That room for your body to calmly birth your baby into this world.
Just as we would not jump up and run a marathon without training for it.
You're setting the intention to practice this breath to keep you calm,
Focused and in control to birth your baby calmly.
