Welcome to this meditation for mothers.

Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed and allow yourself to lie or sit down in a way that feels natural to you.

This is your time.

This is just for you and know that by taking this time you're nourishing yourself but you're also nourishing your family and your loved ones.

So let's start now with taking a deep breath in through your nose and as you exhale gently close your eyes.

Let's begin by arriving fully in this moment.

Breathing deeply in and as you exhale allow your body to soften.

And with each inhale gathering a sense of calm and with each exhale letting go of any weight or tension.

Now taking a few moments to simply observe the rhythm of your breath.

Feeling the air move in and out like gentle waves.

Bringing your awareness to the top of your head.

And imagine a warm golden light gently flowing over you.

Softening your scalp,

Your forehead,

Your jaw.

Allow any tension you might be holding to dissolve.

Imagining the light flowing down through your neck into your shoulders.

Dissolving tension.

Feel this light slowly moving down your chest softening the muscles around your heart.

Bring this warm awareness through your belly the center of life,

Love and strength.

The very place your children may have lived.

Let your abdomen soften,

Release any tightness.

Feel the light continue through your arms,

Your hands,

Your legs,

All the way to your feet.

Grounding you,

Anchoring you into the present moment.

Now bring your attention to your heart.

As you inhale imagine a soft glowing light in the center of your chest.

With each breath this light grows warmer and brighter filling you with calm and love.

Take a moment now to acknowledge the beautiful energy you give to your kids to the people around you every day.

The care you offer,

The sacrifices you make,

The strength you show.

Now take a moment to allow yourself to receive that same love,

That same care.

Breathe in that compassion for yourself.

You might tell yourself,

I am enough,

I am worthy of love,

Rest and peace.

Let these words wash over you.

I am worthy of love,

Rest and peace.

As you sit in the space of calm,

Allow yourself to release any guilt,

Expectations or worries.

You can even imagine holding them gently in your hands as you exhale and just letting them float away.

They're not yours to carry right now.

With every inhale fill your body with love and gratitude.

With every exhale release anything you no longer need.

Now I'd like you to imagine yourself standing tall,

Calm and radiant.

Imagine roots extending from the base of your feet,

Connecting you deep into the earth.

Connecting you to a source of strength and stability.

You are grounded,

Unshakable,

Resilient.

Visualize your day ahead with clarity and ease.

See yourself moving through the challenges that you have facing ahead with grace supported by this deep inner calm.

Silently repeating to yourself,

I am strong,

I am resilient,

I trust myself and my journey.

Bring your awareness back to your breath.

Take three deep nourishing breaths.

Gently bringing yourself back into the moment that you're in,

Back into the space of calm.

Back into the space that you're in.

And when you're ready you can slowly open your eyes,

Looking around this room that you're in.

Take a moment to notice how you're feeling right now.

I hope you enjoyed this meditation.

This is an affirmation to take with you for the rest of the day.

I honor my role as a mother,

But I also honor my need for rest,

Love and peace.
