Hi friends,
Kaylee Rose here.
Welcome to our monthly mindfulness meditation.
This month's meditation is called the letting go place.
So finding a comfortable space for yourself where you won't be interrupted.
Sitting,
Standing,
Lying down,
Whatever is most comfortable for your body.
Eyes opened or closed.
Do whatever feels safest and most comforting for you today.
So once you've found some stillness,
Just for a moment,
Take a deep breath in through the nose and let it go.
Drop in.
Letting go of any expectations about what this is supposed to feel like,
What this experience is supposed to mean.
And just allow yourself to be curious,
To give yourself these few moments to just be with whatever arises.
And as we go through this practice,
Your mind will generate random thoughts and you may get distracted.
And that's okay.
Just gently bringing yourself back to whatever it is I'm asking you to contemplate or pay attention to without judging yourself.
So I'd like to invite you to bring your attention to the place where your body meets the surface of whatever is holding you up.
Maybe the bottom of your feet or your back.
Just notice what it feels like in that space where your body contacts another surface.
Maybe you can allow that surface to hold you just a little bit more,
A little more deeply.
Letting go of any unnecessary tension,
Maybe unclenching the jaw,
Maybe unclenching the fist.
Imagine bringing your attention to the sounds around you.
Noticing what it feels like to hear my voice,
To hear the sounds in the room or outside the room.
Observe what it feels like to hear without judging,
Without labeling.
Notice where your mind is.
Now feeling into the bottom of your feet,
Noticing any sensation there.
Temperature.
Maybe there's nothing at all to notice and simply notice that.
What is this moment like?
And now this one.
There's a place within each of us,
A place of acceptance and surrender where we can let go of all of our burdens and sorrows and float uninhibited in the knowing that you exist and that's enough for now.
Sometimes there are mountains to climb before we find that place.
Tension,
Fear,
A holding.
It's all to keep us safe.
There comes a time when we know that that holding is no longer keeping us safe but keeping us caged.
There's an edge that you're balanced on.
The softening of your heart space,
The letting go of the need to control and fix and change.
You are safe here,
Dear one.
Deep breath and release.
You are safe to just be.
There's a moment when you first open and it's free fall,
An expansion and then release.
This holding is no longer necessary.
This tension is no longer needed.
Deep breath,
Dear one.
Feel yourself alive in this world.
You do not need to worry about before or after.
This moment,
This breath is enough.
This is existing.
You are growing,
Dear one,
Right in this moment within the act of meeting yourself here exactly as you are.
There is nothing to do or fix or change just for now.
Just heal.
Just be.
You are love.
You are enough.
This is the letting go place.
Stay here as long as you like and know that it's always available to you.
We truly want you.
