This poetry reading shares a reflection on our inner voice, inner critic, or the talk in our heads; it comes with various names. Oftentimes, we find it difficult to navigate this voice in our heads, and oftentimes, it is our worst enemy. This reading explores how we can befriend it. I hope your inner voice slowly and gradually becomes your best friend. Sending love and best wishes. Music by Bensound

Namaste dear one.

Today I would like to share with you a poem that celebrates our inner voice.

She holds me in her arms when I fall down.

She says it's okay some days you fall and some days you rise.

I see her face it's comforting and assuring.

I feel scared.

She holds my hand and says let's walk together.

I could barely find words to speak.

She sits patiently while I make my sentences make sense again.

I fear I have made a fool of myself.

She assures me that it did not happen.

I went to bed feeling lonely.

She offers me a hug and says how can you be lonely you're a child of the cosmos.

I'm anxious about my dreams and their timing.

She says all in divine time my love all in divine time.

I scream with love when I write something good.

She cheers for me in the background and says didn't I tell you?

She's someone who used to be critical of my every step and now she seems like my best friend in need.

She's the voice in my head.

She's me.

I hope the voice in your head is your best friend too.

Thank you for being here.

We will meet again soon.

Namaste.
