All of your students have left for the day.
And it's your first moment of quiet and solitude since you came to school.
Thank you for taking this time to yourself to begin to replenish from the energy of the day.
If you're not already,
Please find a comfortable seated position.
Let your eyes fall closed.
Soften your face and shoulders.
And connect with your breath.
You spent your entire day giving.
Nourishing,
Nurturing,
Sharing.
Caring.
Being an external force of love and knowledge and giving.
Now it's time to.
.
.
Become an internal receptor for replenishment,
Relaxation,
And recovery.
So as you're breathing,
Just notice if your mind wanders to the past,
Maybe even thoughts of the day or things that happened with your students.
Or maybe your brain is going to the future,
To tomorrow.
What's next?
Whether your thoughts are in the past or the future,
Just gently bring them back to here and now.
Right here,
This moment,
With your breath.
And you can just let your breath be rhythmic and regular.
Just witnessing the rise and fall of the inhale and exhale.
And in the moments when you notice that you're thinking away from here and now.
You might soften your jaw,
Release your shoulders.
And just let your attention come back gently.
And kindly to your breath.
We're gonna take five deep breaths to deepen this relaxing and replenishing moment for you the giver who's now having a time to receive As you exhale,
You can visualize releasing all of the tension and energy of the day.
And as you inhale,
You can see yourself being replenished with golden light.
So we'll begin to deepen the breath,
Exhale everything out.
Take a nice,
Big,
Deep,
Nourishing breath in,
Filling with golden light.
And as you exhale,
Release what's no longer needed from the day.
Again breathing in deeply nourishing filling with that light And exhaling to release what you no longer need.
Letting go of the tug of all of that energy of all of those people today.
Inhaling,
Filling with light.
Exhale,
Letting go.
We'll do two more.
Take a nice,
Big,
Deep,
Nourishing breath in.
Exhale,
Release.
Last one,
Inhale deeply,
Filling with light and nourishing,
Healing energy.
Exhale,
Releasing all that you don't need for the rest of your day.
And then you can just slowly let your breath return to its natural pace and rhythm.
Noticing if you feel any different now than you did when you sat down for this practice.
No judgment,
Just witnessing how you're feeling.
And in a moment,
We will finish the practice.
But first,
I'd like to take this moment to say thank you for all that you give,
All that you do.
All that you share.
Your heart,
Your kindness,
Your generosity,
Most of it unseen and received by many people every day.
May I today.
Reflect to you that you're incredible.
Thank you for being in a service position.
Thank you for all that you do and give every day.
To change lives.
Now please take a moment to give yourself gratitude for showing up for this practice.
Knowing that care for yourself is going to allow you to show up as your best self in the classroom.
Thank yourself for all that you do and give every single day.
Sometimes you might feel unseen,
Unappreciated,
But know that everything you do is making a difference.
Take that in.
And let's finish all together by taking one last nice,
Big,
Deep,
Juicy breath.
So go ahead and exhale everything out.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale,
Let it go.
And you can just let your breath return to its natural pace.
When you feel ready,
You can slowly flutter your eyelids to come back to your space.
And thank you so much for meditating with me today.
I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day.
