The purpose of this meditation is to release any stress that we are holding on to either mentally or physically inside our body.
This is a practice that I have repeatedly come back to in order to relax my full body.
Start by noticing what you can hear,
What is going on either in the room around you or the environment around you.
Notice if certain sounds appear to pop up that you didn't notice before.
Now notice where your physical body meets the earth,
The floor,
The bed or the chair that is supporting you.
Notice how you sink into it and it lifts you up.
Perhaps you feel your skin touching fabric or touching yourself.
Become aware of what's happening presently inside and outside of your body.
Breathe in through your nose and let it out through your nose.
Relax into being in this moment.
Take another deep breath in and out through your nose.
We are now going to invite in light energy into our body.
This light energy may have a certain color to it.
It may be multiple colors.
It may even sparkle.
Ask that this light energy comes into you,
Starting from your toes.
Allow it to relax all of the muscles,
Tendons,
Ligaments,
Bones and tissues inside your body.
Feel this light energy swirl inside you as it moves up through your feet and your ankles,
Up your calves and your shins.
As it swirls around your knees,
Allow this light energy to come up into your thighs,
Into your groin area.
Allow it to relax your glutes,
Your core,
Your lower back.
This light energy goes into your upper back and your chest,
Your shoulders.
It starts to pour in through your fingertips,
Your pinky,
Your ring finger,
Your middle finger,
Pointer and thumb.
It works its way into your palms,
Up your forearms,
Your upper arms and your neck.
It makes its way up into your head around the back of your head,
Relaxing your scalp and swirling around,
Bringing relaxation to your eyelids,
To your eyeballs,
To your nose and your jaw.
Imagine that this light energy is extremely benevolent.
It comes into every single cell and it heals you.
If it comes across something that isn't serving you anymore,
It transmutes that energy.
This light energy is your friend.
It heals you,
It uplifts you and it brings you towards your highest self.
See it with your inner eye swirling inside of you,
Sparkling and healing.
Give thanks to this light energy and sit with it for as long as you may need.
Allow it to ebb and flow with every inhale and every exhale.
Notice if this energy brings a sensation of tingling this to your body.
Notice the completeness of your relaxation and how this light energy works to undo any tension you were previously holding.
Allow it to wash away all of your to-do's,
Everything that was causing you stress.
Notice how it is completely present and loving.
Give thanks to this light energy.
When you are ready,
You may start to wiggle your fingers and toes and flutter open your eyelids and come back to where you are in your room.
