A Prayer For The World

Let your body settle, and your thoughts float away, there’s safety here in the now. The ripples of fear, the rivers of sadness, are gripping and weighing you down. The violence, the hate, the tears, and the pain, run rampant and spread like a disease. It freezes your soul and breaks your heart, let’s pray for it all to ease.

It feels like lately we don't have to look too hard or wait too long to hear news that really is heavy and deep and dark. News about things that are happening in our own neighborhoods and things that are happening in countries way far away from us that are just so painful and reminds us that there is a lot of darkness and a lot of pain and a lot of suffering and it really weighs so heavily on each of us I know. So I wrote these words as I was in a moment feeling this heaviness as I'm sure you have felt too and I hope that they really touch your heart and bring some lightness and love to you and to everyone else that we are connected to in this world. Let your body settle and your thoughts float away. There is safety here in the now. The ripples of fear, The rivers of sadness are gripping and weighing you down. The hate, The tears and the pain run rampant and spread like disease. It freezes your soul and breaks your heart. Let's pray for it all to ease. Please let there be more love to set us free. Let darkness dissolve so we can evolve. Let your hand touch your soft beating heart reminding you that we are all one. And offer your prayers to the divine and breathe until you are done. Please shine your light upon the darkness tonight. Ease the heavy pain. Let love's power sustain. Feel your body expand with breath's nourishing light. Imagine the same for the world. Expanding and feeding, Softening and healing from darkness we can emerge. Is flooding in, It always has been. Enlightens your heart and gives us a fresh start. Namaste, Beautiful.
