Transcript

I invite you to do this exercise in a beautiful and natural environment for the first time.

You can also do it indoors.

Just take in the pleasant,

Beautiful surroundings and your experience.

So the purpose of this activity is to notice as many pleasurable,

Delightful things that come into your awareness,

Slowly,

One after the other.

I invite you to use all of your senses,

Sight,

Smell,

Sound,

Touch,

Maybe even taste.

How many happy,

Beautiful,

Inspiring things can you notice in your environment?

And while you're walking slowly from one place to another.

Do you enjoy the fresh air?

The warmth of the sun?

The cool breeze?

A beautiful leaf?

The shape of a stone?

The song of a bird?

Or the feeling of the earth under your feet?

When you find something delightful or pleasant,

Let yourself go to it.

Really enjoy it.

Feel the touch of a tender leaf.

The texture of bark,

If you like.

Give yourself over to the experience as if it's the only thing that existed in the world.

And when you're ready to discover something new,

Let it go and wait until you discover something else that is pleasurable and delightful to you.

It may be in the intimate,

Small details,

A crack in the stone.

Or awe in the vastness of the canopy of a tree in the sky beyond.

Be like a honeybee going from one flower,

Full of nectar,

To another.

And when you have drunk your nectar,

Go to another.

Take your time and enjoy.
