Hello and welcome.
Thank you for being here with me.
As we begin,
Find a comfortable position and let your body settle.
And allow yourself to arrive here just as you are.
You don't need to know exactly where you are going.
You don't need to have a plan for every part of your life.
You don't need to see the entire road ahead before you can take a breath.
For now,
You can simply be here.
There are times in life when the way forward feels clear.
When we know what we want.
When the next step makes sense,
And we can move towards it with a certain confidence.
And then there are other times.
Times when something is changing but we don't yet know what it is becoming.
When the things that once felt familiar no longer fit quite the same way.
When we find ourselves standing between what has been and what might be.
And we wonder.
What now?
Perhaps you are in one of those seasons.
Perhaps you've been trying to work out what comes next.
Perhaps you have been looking for a sign,
A little certainty,
A glimpse of how everything will unfold.
And perhaps the hardest part isn't that you don't know the answer.
Perhaps it is the feeling that you should know by now.
That you should have figured it out.
The other people seem to be moving forward while you are still standing here,
Trying to understand the shape of your own life.
If that is where you find yourself,
Let me offer you a different possibility.
What if being uncertain does not mean you are lost?
What if this moment is not evidence that you have fallen behind?
What if you are simply in a part of the journey where the next chapter has not yet revealed itself?
Take a slow breath in.
And gently let it go.
Imagine that you are standing at the beginning of a quiet path.
It is early morning.
The air is cool and still.
A soft mist rests over the ground.
And the trees rise quietly on either side of you.
You cannot see very far ahead.
The path disappears into the mist.
For a moment.
You stand there.
Looking towards the unknown.
Perhaps you wish the mist would lift.
Perhaps you would like to see the entire path,
Every turn,
And every destination before you begin.
But the morning remains quiet.
The path reveals only in what is close enough for you to see.
When you feel ready,
Take one small step.
Notice the ground beneath your feet.
Notice the path immediately in front of you.
You don't need to see where it leads.
You only need to be here for this one step.
And then another.
Not because you have figured everything out.
Not because you are certain of the destination.
But because you are here.
And there is a small part of the journey available to you now.
Perhaps this is something we forget.
We imagine that clarity must come before movement.
That confidence must come before change.
That we must understand the entire journey before we are allowed to begin.
But so much of life reveals itself in smaller ways.
Through a conversation we didn't expect.
Through something that no longer feels right.
Through an opportunity that quietly catches our attention.
Through a moment of stillness when a thought finally has room to surface.
Through the simple recognition that we are ready for something different.
Even if we cannot yet name what that something is.
You do not need to turn every moment into a message.
You do not need to search for meaning in every difficulty.
You can simply allow yourself to be attentive to the life that is unfolding around you.
To notice what brings you a sense of aliveness.
What leaves you feeling more like yourself.
What you keep returning to even when you try to put it aside.
What you may be ready to release.
And what quietly seems to be asking for a little more room.
Imagine now that the mist begins to soften.
Not disappearing entirely.
Just thinning enough.
For a little more of the path to become visible.
You can see a few steps ahead.
Perhaps there is a bend in the path.
Perhaps the sunlight falls across a patch of earth.
Perhaps you notice a small leaf resting beside your foot.
Nothing dramatic.
Nothing that demands an immediate answer.
Just the next small part of the world becoming visible.
And perhaps that is enough.
Perhaps you can let the future remain partly unknown.
You can allow yourself to make a choice without knowing every consequence.
You can begin something before you feel completely ready.
You can change direction when you learn something new.
You can discover that a path is no longer right for you,
Without deciding that the time you spent on it was wasted.
You can honor the person you have been while making room for the person you are becoming.
There is no single version of your life that you must somehow get exactly right.
There are choices.
There are seasons.
There are unexpected turns.
There are things you will understand only when you look back.
And there are moments when the bravest thing you can do is stop demanding an answer from yourself.
Before you are ready to find it.
Let your breathing become easy.
Feel the support beneath your body.
And imagine that quiet path once more.
You are standing on it.
You don't have to run.
You don't have to catch up.
You don't have to prove that you know where you are going.
You can move at the pace that allows you to remain connected to yourself.
You can pause when you need to.
You can rest.
You can look around.
And when the next step becomes clear enough,
You can take it.
Perhaps there is something in your life right now that you have been trying very hard to figure out.
A decision,
A dream,
A relationship,
A new beginning.
Or simply the question of who you are becoming in this season of your life.
You don't need to solve it here.
Instead,
You might gently ask yourself,
What is one small,
Honest step I can take from where I am today?
Not the perfect step.
Not the step that guarantees everything will work out.
Just one small step,
That feels true to you.
Perhaps it is resting.
Perhaps it is asking for help.
Perhaps it is making the phone call.
Exploring the possibility.
Setting the boundary.
Or giving yourself permission to change your mind.
Perhaps it is doing nothing for a little while and allowing yourself to listen.
There is no need to force an answer.
Simply make a little room for one to emerge.
And if nothing comes to you right now,
That is alright.
You have not missed your moment.
You are not failing at finding your way.
Sometimes the next step is simply to care for the person who is standing here in the middle of the unknown.
To give yourself permission.
To give yourself the patience you would offer someone you love.
To remember that you are allowed to be a work in progress.
That you can be uncertain and still be wise.
That you can be afraid and still be brave.
That you can be in the middle of becoming something new without knowing exactly what that will look like.
And perhaps for now,
You can carry these words with you.
I do not need to see the whole path.
I can trust myself to meet the next step.
I am allowed to grow at my own pace.
There is still so much life waiting to unfold.
Take one more gentle breath.
Feel yourself here in this moment.
The future can remain a little mysterious.
You don't have to pull it towards you.
You don't have to make it reveal itself before its time.
You can meet this day.
You can listen.
You can notice.
And you can take the next small step when it comes.
Not because you have every answer,
But because you are learning to trust the person who will walk the path with you.
You.
May you find peace in what you do not yet know.
May you recognize the quiet wisdom that grows when you give yourself time.
May you stop mistaking uncertainty for failure.
And may you remember that even when the whole path is hidden,
The next small step can still be enough.
