Hello,
This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation.
In today's meditation,
We're going to awaken our inner child,
The part of our heart that is full of hope,
Of love,
And wholeness.
Let's begin by closing over our eyes and taking a deep breath in through your nose and releasing,
Letting it go.
And let's do that one more time.
Deep breath in through your nose and release it.
Let all tension,
All stressors just melt away.
And witness your breath in and out as it fills your belly with air,
As it brings you to this present moment.
Allow it.
Witness.
Accept it.
Now,
Let's bring some awareness to our face.
Our brow is more relaxed,
Letting go of all stressors,
Of all tension.
Our eyes are gently closed,
Not straining.
Your mouth is relaxed.
Your jaw is unclenched.
Your shoulders are away from your ears,
Allowing your body to just melt into the floor or the chair beneath you.
Keep breathing.
All inhales in and innocent releases out.
Imagine yourself in a beautiful sacred place.
The air is pure.
The sun is shining.
Any sense of purity,
Safety,
And peace pervades the environment.
This sacred place is so real.
You can feel the wind caressing your face.
The sun is warming your body.
You can even feel the grass between your toes.
Take a moment to envision this beautiful sacred place.
Now imagine your inner child,
Innocent,
Happy,
Full of joy and unconditional love for all beings.
You are safe.
You are love.
You are peace in this sacred place.
Your heart is so full of joy.
Witness that feeling in your heart.
And now remember your own childhood and bring to your awareness a memory that brings so much joy to your heart that it brings a smile to your face.
Let's take a moment to connect to that memory.
Gently breathe as this memory comes to your mind's eye.
Breathe in and out,
Allowing this memory to fill your heart with unconditional love.
Through this memory you are coming to a place of wholeness.
A place where life is filled with endless possibilities.
And now we will connect your inner child to the present moment.
Ask yourself what makes you happy?
What makes you happy?
Maybe you want to bring your hand to your heart center,
Allow answers to bubble up.
What makes you happy?
How can you be more playful?
How can you be more playful in your life?
What do you want to do,
Even if it has no practical purpose,
Other than to make you smile or awaken your enthusiasm?
What do you want to do,
Even if it has no practical purpose,
Other than to make you smile or awaken your enthusiasm?
Let's commit to indulge your inner child by carving out time on a regular basis to do all of these things that bring you joy,
That bring playfulness into your life,
That awaken your enthusiasm and passion.
Make a commitment to honor the innocence and sweetness that resides in your heart regardless of your age.
Allow it.
Accept it.
Witness it.
You are so worthy of connecting to that inner child that lives inside of you.
Let's take it a little bit deeper by using a mantra,
Om Bhoorichitta Ananda.
Om is the hymn of the universe.
Bhoorichitta is opening your heart Ananda,
Bliss.
Om Bhoorichitta Ananda.
This beautiful mantra,
This vibration,
When fused your heart,
Your soul and your spirit with bliss,
With joy.
Gently repeat it to yourself over and over.
Om Bhoorichitta Ananda.
Om Bhoorichitta Ananda.
Your heart is filled with so much bliss,
Happiness,
Joy,
Wholeness.
Om Bhoorichitta Ananda.
Om Bhoorichitta Ananda.
At any time when you want to awaken that inner child,
Just gently repeat Om Bhoorichitta Ananda.
That healing vibration will bring you to wholeness.
And we're going to seal this meditation,
The awakening of our inner child,
Awakening our heart to love,
To compassion,
To joy,
To Ananda,
To bliss.
We're going to chant Om together.
Taking a deep breath in.
And let's put our hands together to our heart center and say Namaste.
I honor the divine light in you that is also in me.
And when you're in that space,
And I'm in that space,
We are one.
