This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation.
In this meditation,
We're going to be opening our heart to loving our bodies a little bit more,
Surrendering to the beauty that lies within us.
We're going to be awakening this beautiful love through affirmations.
Let's begin by gently closing over our eyes,
Taking a slow deep breath in and releasing.
Let's do that one more time.
Slow deep breath in and release.
Let go.
Start to relax your body,
Releasing all tension.
If you need to,
Take a slow motion of your neck around in a circle.
Breathe in and release.
Allowing your shoulders to fall away from your ears,
Relaxing a little bit deeper,
Letting go a little bit deeper.
As we awaken our self-love for our body,
Let's begin with awareness.
What do you really see in the mirror when you look at yourself?
Allow those emotions to bubble up,
Maybe there's shame,
Pain,
Even fear.
What do you see when you look in the mirror,
At your body,
At your face?
Be here for a moment.
Even as those emotions come up,
Let's spend a little time releasing them by taking a slow deep breath in and let it go.
We are not our emotions.
In this moment,
We can release all of those negative feelings and let's awaken positive nurturing feelings for our bodies by asking,
What am I grateful for in this moment for my body?
What am I grateful for in this moment for my body?
And choose one thing or several,
Allow yourself to surrender to these nurturing,
Positive,
Joyful energies.
Be here for a moment.
And as we awaken these positive,
Nurturing,
Beautiful energies for our bodies,
Let's reinforce this positive energy with affirmations.
All you have to do is listen to my voice.
My body deserves love and respect.

Allow these beautiful affirmations to settle into your space by taking a few moments to breath in and release.
