Welcome to Yoga Nidra for Healing.

My name is Kristen and I'm guiding you through a meditative journey into your body,

Mind,

And soul.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to find a quiet space and relax into a comfortable position on the earth.

Make yourself as comfortable as possible and support your body with bolsters underneath your knees and pillows behind your head.

As you settle,

Open into a natural space within yourself,

A natural space of receptivity where all thoughts soften and you can open into the world of feeling,

Sensing,

And being.

In this meditation journey,

You'll create a seed of light to harmonize all parts of who you are with the wisdom of your heart.

Taking a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through open mouth,

Feeling your body at rest on the supportive ground beneath you.

You can open your palms to the sides of your body and close your eyelids,

Turning your gaze towards your inner landscape,

To the consciousness that's always there within you.

Let go and sink your bones into the earth,

Sensing into heaviness through the base of your head,

Shoulder blades,

Pelvic bowl,

And thighs,

Your whole body heavy.

Letting each muscle of your body soften into quiet relaxation.

Sensing where the surface of your skin touches the air around you,

Feel the temperature of the air shift and change across the folds of your skin.

Bring your awareness to rest at your mouth and the warm sensations and tastes within your mouth.

Soften jawbone,

Teeth,

Gums.

Relax from the tip of your tongue down to the root of the tongue,

Your tongue relaxed in your mouth.

And from your mouth,

Bring your awareness to your ears,

The curves of your ears awaken with sensation,

And open into the subtle sounds and vibrations in the space around you.

Scent in your hearing and feel your hearing flow from sound to sound,

Your hearing flowing from far away sounds to closer sounds in the space around your body.

Sensing quietly with your whole body,

Your whole body listening.

Gradually you sense the sound of your breath,

The sound of your breath moving through each nostril,

Feeling the passageway of breath open into the back of your throat,

Breath opening into the back of your throat like wind through a hollow reed.

Take a deep breath in.

Exhale again.

Bring your whole body to enter into stillness,

Whole body still.

Remember that there's no external movement during the practice of yoga nidra.

There's only the attention of being.

This journey is guided by sankalpa,

A seed of light that holds great potential for healing and transformation.

Sankalpa isn't created by your thinking mind.

Instead,

Sankalpa arises from the wisdom of your heart.

Bring your conscious attention into the broad space of your chest,

Into the center of your heart.

Feel your physical heart beating in tune with the earth and sensing into the subtle fabric of your spiritual heart,

Into the warmth,

Radiance and light at your heart space.

Silently ask your heart for its wisdom.

Ask,

What do I most need to bring harmony and balance to my life in this present moment?

Listen for the word,

The knowing,

The impression that arises from within.

And trust what you perceive,

Trusting what you perceive.

Take that impression,

That knowing,

That word,

And transform your heart's wisdom into an I am statement made in the present tense.

For instance,

I am patience.

I am joy.

I am faith.

Your sankalpa is a seed that holds your spiritual truth.

And once you've formed your I am statement,

Rest your awareness again at your heart and state your sankalpa three times silently.

Repeat your intention with a deep sense of feeling,

Clarity and sincerity three times now.

In time,

Your seed of light will arise as new consciousness in your life through thoughts,

Feelings and actions.

And you'll remember your true nature as om tat sat.

I am that.

Release your seed of light into the receptive spaces of body,

Mind and soul.

And return your awareness now to your physical body.

And follow the sound of my voice to sense into specific points in your physical body.

When you move your awareness from point to point,

You create a pathway of light,

A pathway of consciousness that weaves through muscle and bone.

This pathway communicates to corresponding areas in your brain and harmonizes the physical layer of your being,

The anamayakosha.

Begin by resting awareness at your eyebrow center like a drop of light.

From your eyebrow center,

Sense into a pathway of light flowing from your right shoulder,

Upper arm,

Elbow,

Down into your wrist bones.

Sensations of warmth gather in the palm of your hand and extend into your fingertips.

Feel your right hand thumb,

Second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth,

Pinky finger.

Awareness opening into the right side of your chest,

Weaving like a thread of light into your rib cage,

Side waist and hip.

Follow the pathway of light from your right hip,

Thigh,

Knee,

Down into your ankle.

Sensation awakens in the sole of your foot.

Feel your right big toe,

Second toe,

Third,

Fourth,

Fifth,

The space between your toes.

Sensation awakens in the sole of your foot,

The space between your toes.

Now gradually move your awareness to the left side of your body and sense into a pathway of light flowing from your left shoulder,

Upper arm,

Elbow,

Down into your wrist bones.

Sensations of warmth gathering in the palm of your hand,

Extending into your fingertips.

Feel your left hand thumb,

Second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth,

Pinky finger.

Awareness opening into the left side of your chest and weaving like a thread of light into your rib cage,

Side waist,

Hip.

Follow the pathway of light from your left hip,

Thigh,

Knee,

Down into your ankle.

Sensation awakening in the sole of your foot.

Feel your left big toe,

Second toe,

Third,

Fourth,

Fifth,

Space between your toes.

Sensation awakens in the sole of your foot,

The space between your toes.

Feel your right big toe,

Second toe,

Third,

Fifth,

Fifth,

The space between your toes.

Sense the whole right side of your body and feel the whole left side of your body.

Feel the right and the left side of your body together as one.

Right and left side of your body together as one whole.

Feel your whole body,

Your whole body,

One interconnected pathway of light.

And from your physical body,

Rest your awareness again at your eyebrow center.

Deepen into this space.

Imagine the space around your physical body,

The space around your body filled by a quality of sunlight,

Warm,

Golden,

Vibrant light.

Sense into the sunlight.

Breathing into the natural movement of your breath.

Feel the breath moving through your nose,

The natural flow of breath through both nostrils.

Breath by breath,

Sense the life force energy of the sun moving into your body and deepening your awareness of the pranamaya kosha,

The energetic rivers that run through your tissue and bring expression to your body and mind.

You don't need to force your breath,

Simply open your awareness into the flow of breath,

Feeling the passage of your breath through the back of your throat.

Breath by breath,

Follow sensation from your navel center to your heart and from your heart to your navel center.

Exhaling to open your breath from the navel center to your heart and exhaling to release your breath from your heart back to your navel center.

Breath by breath,

The pathway of sunlight flows through the center of your body from the navel center to your heart,

From your heart to the navel center.

Breath by breath,

Your heart flowing with prana,

Opening to the vibrant light of the sun.

As you sense into the expansion of your heart,

Begin to count your breath backwards as follows.

I am breathing in,

Ten.

I am breathing out,

Ten.

I am breathing in,

Nine.

I am breathing out,

Nine.

And so on,

Counting from the number ten to the number one.

Write the numbers silently as you count your breath backwards.

Stop counting now.

Stop counting and return your awareness to the subtle movements and flows through the tissues of your body.

Sense into a flowing river of sunlight opening from the center of your body and overflowing in rivers of gold.

Rivers of gold rushing through your arms and fingertips.

Rivers of gold flowing through your legs and toes.

Radiant gold in your palms and feet.

Gold in sunlight floods the spaces of your mind.

Sensing into the space of your mind.

Sensing into the open space of sunlight,

Into the manumaya kosha,

The space of opposing thoughts,

Emotions,

And beliefs.

Find a quiet witness to the impressions that arise in this space.

Become the one who observes from the serene space of your heart.

Allowing all material within the mind with clarity,

Compassion,

And objectivity.

Seeing all materials,

All impressions from the mind,

To rise up into your awareness,

Bringing them into consciousness,

Into clarity,

Into light.

As you watch and observe,

Begin to awaken a sensation of heat throughout your whole body.

Your whole body is hot,

Expanding with heat.

Seeing an intense heat emerge from within you like a flame burning bright and white.

Awareness of heat.

Become aware of heat.

Heat throughout your body.

Now awaken the opposite sensation within you.

Awaken a sensation of coolness throughout your whole body.

Your whole body is cold,

Contracting with cold.

Feel a cleansing coolness washing over you like the icy blue waters of a river.

Awareness of cold.

Awareness of cold throughout your whole body.

Now move your attention back and forth between these two opposite sensations.

Your whole body hot.

Your whole body cold.

Your whole body hot and cold at the same time.

Hot and cold together as one pure sensation.

A flame burning bright and white.

Icy blue waters of a river.

Fire.

Water.

Fire and water together as one.

Mixing all internal conflict now and enter into the harmony of one.

Rest your attention like a drop of light at your eyebrow center.

The pure essence of your attention at your eyebrow center.

At the entrance to the quiet space of the chitta kasha.

The internal space of creation.

Here you touch the vijnanamaya kosha.

Your intuitive body.

Your body of knowing.

Imagine in this space one spark of light like a brilliant star in the night sky.

See the star shining at the center of your brain.

And hear within you a powerful sound and vibration echoing through your mind,

Beyond your mind,

Into space.

The spark of light expands and begins to pulse at the center of your brain.

Sense into the pulse at the center of your brain.

The light expanding,

Expanding,

And in one brilliant spark releases its stored energy into your pituitary gland,

Into your pineal gland,

Into the pathways of light opening from the center of your brain,

Flowing into your brain stem at the top of your spine.

Fire light flowing down the central channel of your spine,

Flowing in waves of sound and vibration.

Sound and vibration radiating throughout your nervous system.

Starlight flooding the cells of your body with new communications about the force of life.

Starlight fills the seven spinning wheels along your spine.

Light at your pelvic basin,

Navel center,

Solar plexus,

Pure white sound flooding your heart center,

Throat space,

Your forehead bathed in pools of light.

Light spilling from the crown of your head like an incandescent waterfall enveloping your whole body,

Your whole body enveloped by light.

Light washing you in the eternal spring at the center of your being,

Light bathing you in streams of peace,

Love,

And compassion.

Remember that the light has never left you.

It's always there waiting for you to return.

Om tat sat,

I am that.

What part of yourself do you need to remember?

Bring to your awareness the intention that you carried in your heart to the innermost space of the Anandamaya Kosha,

To the source of all life within you.

Here you can water the seed of your highest potential.

Recite your sankalpa,

Your seed of light three times now.

Stay quiet as you return through the layers of the self.

Breath by breath return into sensing,

Feeling,

Being,

Into body awareness,

Movement,

And expression into the waking consciousness of your dream.

And as you open your eyes,

Feel your inner space and your external space as one.

Thank you for sharing this time with me and I wish you deep peace and harmony.

Namaste.
