We'll start by settling into our bodies,

Noticing our breath.

If you're seated,

I invite you to place one hand on top of the other with both palms facing up so that you're supporting your,

In my case,

I'm choosing to put my right hand inside of my left hand and cupping both hands and position of both comfort and grasping in a gentle way so that I feel one hand being supported by the other and just becoming present to what that feels like.

And today's practice,

I'm going to use touch as the anchor where the sensations of the fingertips of my left hand,

Feeling my right hand sort of nestled within it,

Brings me back to my body,

Back to this present moment.

Take a few deep breaths now,

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out of the mouth,

Releasing any energy that you need to release to be present to this practice.

Now,

Draw to your mind's eye this past year.

I see it visualized in front of me as a circle,

A circle as a clock,

But also as the month.

And in this circle,

I'm at the top and I'm looking back,

Looking back at each month,

Going all the way back to January of last year,

Trying to picture where,

Where it might have been,

Noticing what comes readily to mind,

Maybe a particular circumstance or person.

And then noticing what emotions arise when I draw my awareness back,

Back in time to many months ago.

Who was I being then?

How was I showing up for the world?

Now scanning the next few months from January forward,

Notice if there are any moments that you feel defined you.

And now notice what meaning that might hold currently and how it's showing up in your physical body in this moment.

As you notice what stands out,

As you reflect on the past,

Notice if there are concerns that you're holding onto from those times.

Now continue scanning into the,

Into the past,

Moving forward through the seasons,

Noticing how winter became spring and the transition spaces in between spring into summer.

Are there moments where you want to be acknowledged?

Perhaps areas of personal growth.

As we move from summer to fall,

Notice where you see abundance in your life.

Again,

Scan your,

Your life for any events in the later months.

The activities,

Conversations,

Relationships that newly come to mind that hold a space in your year.

As part of this reflection,

We want to look at both those areas that might have been challenging or disappointing,

As well as those that bring us joy and happiness.

The highs and the lows to give us a sense of completion when reflecting on the year.

Take a moment to notice your body in the present moment.

Scan back to your hands.

Notice if you feel a softening,

Perhaps a tightening.

Now draw your reflection from fall to,

To the winter to now.

Scanning the past few months.

Noticing if there are people or conversations that you had forgotten about and that are newly arising.

And now that we have scanned our year,

I invite you to look back and see where you're holding on to a sense of concern.

Perhaps a feeling of being incomplete.

And spend a moment thinking about how to create a sense of completion.

Where a sense of completion is not that the activity has been completed or even that the conversation has been resolved,

But that you can let go of the attachment to completion in your mind.

That you yourself have created a sense of completion through the process of letting go.

And again,

As you are doing this,

I invite you to take a few deep breaths.

Notice how your body reflects completion or incomplete.

As we look to the future,

There is an art of forgetting.

Letting go.

And in the moment of letting go,

We can notice space and possibility for opening up to future.

So take a moment to notice and see if space arises.

You can visualize this as an openness,

An open awareness.

Seeing yourself as part of the universe.

The sky,

Or if you choose,

Planets.

Planets,

The actual physical universe.

And in these final moments,

I'd like us to center on abundance,

Space,

And possibility.

Through the act of reflection.

Now,

I'd like to end this by having us set an intention for our future.

How do we want to show up for others in this new year?

Who are we being?

What manifests spontaneously when we open up our awareness to the space and possibility that resides there naturally?

Now,

Take a few more moments to come back to your body,

To your breath,

To your hands.

And when you hear the bell,

Go ahead and stay in whatever position you're in for a few more breaths.

Releasing any energy from this practice.

Clearing your mind before returning.

Thank you for listening.
