Welcome to this guided meditation for healing your body after injury,

Illness,

Or surgery.

We will work with the element of air and breath to help us cleanse and soothe the energetic body and help the physical body heal.

Take a moment to get as comfortable as you can.

Lying down is just fine.

Close your eyes if that feels comfortable,

Or simply soften your gaze.

Take a few deep breaths.

As you do,

Feel free to move your body around in any way that feels right for you right now.

Shift and fidget until your body settles into a stillness that is as comfortable as is possible right now.

Now,

Take a moment to acknowledge the earth beneath your feet.

Allow the weight of your body to rest into the support of the earth and whatever you were resting on.

Let your body sink and sag into the ground.

Use as little effort as possible to hold yourself up,

Which,

Especially if you were lying down,

Might be none at all.

Now begin to tap into your breath as it is.

Simply notice the rise and fall of your natural breath.

Allow each natural exhale to help calm and soften your body,

Resting more deeply into the earth as you do.

Now imagine that the air around you is suffused with a bright,

Comforting,

Calm white light.

This is the light of healing.

It is generated by the love you feel in your life.

It is fueled by joy and pleasure.

Take a moment to think about what's good in your life.

A person you care about or feel connected to.

An animal that you love to talk to or pet or snuggle with.

A tree that you like to visit or sit by.

An act of self-love in your day,

Like taking a bath or eating a favorite food.

Take your time to rest in thoughts and memories of what is good,

Joyful,

Pleasurable,

Or full of love for you in your life.

Every time you think of something you enjoy that you are grateful for,

The light gently brightens,

Surrounding you with gentle,

Loving healing.

Begin to tap into your breath again.

As you inhale,

Imagine this sweet,

Loving light entering your body through your nose,

Into your lungs,

Into your bloodstream,

And bones from there.

As you exhale,

You are simply releasing what's not needed in your body.

Cycle through your inhales and exhales,

Drawing in the light and letting go of what is not needed.

You do not need to focus on the exhale,

But allow it to be nice and long and relaxed.

As you continue to breathe and draw in this healing white light,

Notice that it is not diminishing in any way.

The healing light is infinite.

You can continue to brighten it with more thoughts and memories of things that make you feel safe,

Loved,

Happy,

Relaxed,

Or simply everyday things that you enjoy.

Draw in the healing white light and allow it to suffuse your body.

With a little bit of time,

The white light becomes strong and bright within you.

Notice a part of your body that might need this light.

This could be a place where you feel your injury or illness the most,

Or a place where you are getting sensations that feel uncomfortable for you.

As you breathe,

Direct your breath and this light to this area,

Calming and soothing it as you do.

The light has the ability to help repair the tissues,

Reconnecting and realigning what may be out of balance.

Each exhale releases the residue of the healing process,

Inflammation,

Heat,

Or uncomfortable sensations.

Breathe as deeply as feels good into this area,

And if you like,

Feel free to exhale out of your mouth.

At this point,

You may like to take a moment to ask this part of your body what it needs.

Is there anything in particular it wants to say or needs from you?

Take a moment to listen.

You may or may not get an answer.

Either is fine.

When you feel ready,

Go ahead and move to a new location in your body.

There may be another place where you feel some discomfort or inflammation,

Or it may just be a place that wants your attention.

Breathe in this healing white light and exhale out what is not needed from your body.

The exhales are released into the air around you,

And the heaviness of that air settles to the ground,

Becoming reabsorbed by the powerful earth,

Which is able to turn it into something beautiful again one day.

Keep breathing beautiful,

Loving white light in,

Releasing what is not needed out.

Again,

If it feels right,

You can ask this part of your body what it wants or needs from you.

Simply listen.

Notice if there is any kind of response.

Let's move to a third place,

When and if you feel ready.

This might be another area of sensation.

It could be the same as the first or second place.

Or you might choose to simply breathe into your heart.

Loving,

Gentle,

Healing white light in,

Releasing what is not needed out.

Again,

You may like to open to this part of your body and see if it has anything in particular it would like to tell you.

Again,

You may like to open to this part of your body and see if it has anything in particular it would like to tell you.

When this feels complete for you,

Sit for a moment,

Bathing in the beautiful white light.

Allow yourself to rest in the beauty of this light,

Created from your love,

Your joy,

Your pleasure,

And your good intentions.

When this meditation feels complete for you,

Take one last deep breath.

You may like to rest here a little bit longer,

Basking in the sweetness of the healing white light.

When you feel ready to move on with your day,

You may like to stretch and move in some gentle ways and eventually open up your eyes.

If your body made some requests that feel right and safe to follow,

Make sure you go ahead and do those things when you're able.

Thank you for listening,

And good healing to you.

Lovely and soothing. A wonderful way to move healing energy into the body to begin to ease pain and find a bit of symptom relief. Really helped with my nausea and headache from a flare. I'll return to this meditation many times I'm sure. Thank you so much Julie πŸ’–

Your voice is pleasant and calming. I've been having bad allergies all week that have wiped me out. I did this meditation while soaking in my hot bath water to relax. Your meditation was simple and easy to focus on my breathing. I was able to concentrate on my areas that were in need of healing. Some meditations have too many steps to do when you're already drained. This is exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this one and will use it again. Thank you.

Soothing meditation, as are all of Julie's practices that I have tried out (including the morning stretch session I use almost every day). I thought the timing if this one's release could not have been better. I used the first of the healing practices while I was in the hospital after a major surgery, and throughout my months-ling recovery. This one came out just as I received my single-shot COVID-19 vaccination and was experiencing some mild side effects. With chronic medical conditions and pain anyway, this simply felt like a more severe flare-up than usual, but as it was the weekend and I have a busy week ahead, I wanted to do all I could to promote healing and recovery. Having listened to this and engaged fully with it twice now, I can say it certainly does help me feel calmer, both inside and out. More confident in my quick and complete return to my normal state of being - maybe even a little better. 😊 In short, highly recommended. Bookmarked, downloading, and added to a few of my Playlists. Thank you for sharing this with us, Julie. I see you and the light within you. Be well. 🀲🏻❀🀲🏻
