Are you living as a victim of your own life — and not even aware of it? In this guided exploration, Joy walks you through the invisible triangle we all play in: victim, persecutor, and rescuer. Using simple, grounded awareness practices, she helps you recognise the moment you step into these roles, understand the survival programming that keeps you locked there, and find the still point above it all — the witness. Through breath, presence, and gentle inquiry, you are invited to expand your focus beyond the pain point, open to the wider field of possibility available to you right now, and begin to choose something new. This session is for anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to stop playing small and step into the fullness of who they came to be. As we connect in the breath,

Releasing the static,

Opening the field.

Ask your beautiful body to be present.

So quiet here with you.

Notice my levities.

That you are in a space,

In a place,

In time.

And it is you that is here right now.

Isn't that wonderful?

That you can notice you in this time-space reality.

And because you can do that,

You can connect to everything that is helping you around you to know yourself in this time,

Space and reality.

Think about what's holding you and supporting you.

The time of day,

The season,

The year,

The temperature.

Allow all this information that we might not have connected into in any formal cognitive way.

That it is there is information constantly informing us.

Am I cool?

Am I warm?

Am I safe?

Am I comfortable?

All of this is going on whether we are paying attention or not.

Ask your being to recognize that part of you that is able to witness and understand,

Process and pay attention.

To all the facets.

That are going on around you,

Connecting and collecting this information.

You are able to process on so many levels.

All this data,

This data that's coming in.

And here your beautiful being,

Your vehicle,

Is able to process it.

More than you can imagine is coming into your awareness now.

If you had a little bump under your foot,

A stone or a pebble.

You would be paying attention to that because it would be pressing upon your awareness.

Discomfort.

Because it's discomforting to your body,

Not comfortable to your being,

Our attention goes to that thing.

And we focus on it and in the focusing of it,

We connect to it.

We could very easily have not connected to it.

If there was something more important going on around us that was pulling our awareness towards it.

So notice that two mitrages.

It's the most incredible thing that we have.

To be able to focus on something or not.

If something else gets our attention,

We are able to redirect ourselves.

And then focus on that.

So often,

And because of our programming to survive and default setting,

When something comes in that we need to pay attention to so that we can survive,

Manage,

Hope,

Or cope.

My least favorite words.

Then all of our attention goes to that which we're not happy about.

That's making us uncomfortable.

As we focus on that,

All our systems move towards that point of focus.

So we have brought ourselves into a very small space.

Channeled in towards that which is a discomfort.

And yes,

There is this discomfort.

But at the same time,

There's a lot of other information going on at the same time.

What the weather is like.

Who is there present with you?

Have you eaten enough today?

What sounds are you picking up?

Is someone cooking in the kitchen?

Does that feel like it's a comfort to you or something disagreeable?

Can you hear the road and the cars and the crunching on the sidewalk as people walk over the pebbles outside?

Can you hear the neighborhood dog barking?

The birds chirping?

Are you aware of how bright and sunlight it is or how dark it is or rainy?

All this other information is going on.

It is constantly they in the field.

And we choose what places upon us to focus on.

And bringing your awareness to that because it is time for us to open up our focus,

Our attention to more than just that which is obvious.

The things that push us,

That hurt us,

That cause us to react.

Of the things that are hurting us in some way,

Impacting upon our sense of comfort or safety.

Then we bring all our attention to that thing.

We laser sharp focus towards it because we're bringing all our attention to it.

All our energy goes there too.

And so we become consumed with the thing that really is just a bump in the road.

It's not all encompassing information.

It's just a bump in the road.

A little stone under your foot.

But all our attention has moved towards that.

So then the mind body assumes that all of this is the bump in the road,

That there is no other plan,

Story,

Thing going on,

No other options.

We focus.

On the thing that is causing us pain and we keep focusing on it so that this mind and body can relieve us of the pain.

But that's where we got broken.

Because in the focusing on the thing that is causing us pain,

We became a little addicted to the awareness that we can bring so much attention to one thing.

We pump out cortisone,

Epinephrine,

Norepinephrine,

The stress hormones,

To help us react to it.

And that reactive energy is so lovely,

Delicious,

Adrenaline,

Spiking into our system,

And we feel alive and motivated,

And we're gonna do something about it.

That carries on until it depletes the system,

And then we crash.

We go,

Oh,

I just can't carry on doing this story.

Is depleting,

It's exhausting me.

Well,

Of course it is.

We only use our adrenaline to help us to get out of that space,

To do something about it.

It's not there as food and nourishment for our system.

It is certainly not that.

It is only there to be used in extreme situations.

And because we are living in an extreme environment with so much going on.

And coming into our attention.

It is no longer just our extreme story.

These are the stories of everybody's extreme experiences that are colliding and smashing into our consciousness.

So we are overwhelmed beyond.

Oh my goodness,

And yet we're still standing.

Isn't it amazing?

So be aware now.

Of the way we are funneling our attention.

The way we are creating that which we see as pain.

As the only thing that we can focus on.

We have other options,

My lovelies.

There is so much more the moment we open our experience to that which is more.

That which is also available signaling and calling us to be part of.

Notice when you are bringing your attention.

To what that vibration is.

If you are consistently focusing on the vibration of pain,

Distortion,

Disruption,

Happiness,

Hardship,

Suffering,

Victimness,

Then that is what your reality will feel like.

And it's not necessarily truth.

There are other aspects that are also available at this time to you.

But we cannot focus on them because our survival mechanism is calling us to focus,

Laser focus,

On the smallest possible denominator,

The smallest possible irritation.

And that causing us so much pain,

Impact point pain.

Is what we see,

Hear,

Think and feel and then believe that that is what life is.

It's not.

It's only a tiny piece of it.

So I'm talking to you now about everything in your life.

Because right now There is immense change in our field of consciousness.

And in our human field.

Because this disruption and eruption of energy is surging up.

I'm watching more than ever relationships break up.

Situations fall apart,

Work relationships,

Commitments,

Things are just falling apart.

We don't want them anymore.

Why don't we want them?

Why don't we want the things that have been holding us up to this point?

There is something that's calling for our attention beyond that which we are focusing on or being trapped or herded into.

There is something else.

And this anxiety and fear that everyone is feeling about,

Oh my gosh,

There's something else.

I'm not happy,

But I did move.

I did make a change because I don't know what the future is.

So I'm rather going to just keep staying here,

Even though it's horrible.

Not happy.

And I'll just stay here because at least it's predictable.

Feel safe and I know what the outcome is going to be in almost every scenario because I played almost every scenario.

So I'm going to be okay.

I'm rather going to stay here and keep doing this that I truly do not want.

My soul is saying grow for heaven's sakes,

Expand beyond.

There's a whole world of possibility out there.

You came to be part of that potential,

Not to be the smallest point of reference that you can be the greatest source.

Absolute expansion and possibility magnificence.

You came for that.

But we're today small because we're terrified.

And we much rather choose things that make us feel safe,

Even though it doesn't really bring us a sense of safety or peace.

It just gives us a sense of comfort because it's a known pain.

A known discomfort,

And we have worked out how to work around it,

To manage ourselves in it,

To hope and to cope.

Those words are so low vibration.

So we put ourselves in that place and we're not happy.

What a pity,

My treasures,

Every single one of us here on a mission,

We hold the God code,

The blueprint in us,

The something that is our expression that is to be given to the space that is so magnificent.

There is something that we hold dear.

And we only can reveal it because we are the only ones that can hold it.

If you do not reveal the gift that you hold within you,

God codes.

If you don't bring it out into fruition,

Into the openness.

For the place of possibilities to expand into.

Then we are bereft of that note,

That little sound,

That vibration.

That possibility.

If no longer is available to anybody else.

Because yours and yours and mine and this one and the next one,

All of them make up that whole beautiful production of symphony.

We've got to play out our journey.

Without the fear and trepidation.

So let's ask,

What keeps us locked into fear?

We are terrified of being the victim.

So then ask yourself,

Am I the victim of my life?

And could you truthfully,

Honestly say to yourself,

No?

Can you say that you are flourishing,

That you're expanding your consciousness?

That you are aware and awake in all points of your existence.

Or are there parts of your life where you're feeling like you are the victim?

That life's too hard and you don't know where to go.

You don't know what to do and you're overwhelmed.

That's the energy of being a victim.

So let me show you the picture.

There's so much information about this.

Oh,

My gosh.

But we'll just start here.

I'm sure we'll root back to all kinds of things.

Take a triangle.

And if you have done some of the work around this,

You will know that there's three points to this game.

One of them is the point of power,

The persecutor,

The powerful holding space.

That's the one point.

The second point will be the victim.

And the third point will be the rescuer.

We are all trapped in this little triangle.

We play in it again and again and again.

So that we can stay inside of the space that is the same and predictable and the outcome is known to us.

We don't like it,

But it's known to us,

So we do like it.

Our brain loves it and will choose it over and above anything else that we might imagine as a possibility.

Slam us down.

Oh,

No,

No,

No.

Rather go back and ask and beg for your job back.

Oh,

No,

No,

No.

Don't ask for that person to come back into your life,

Even though they beat you and break your heart.

Hmm I've seen it again and again and again.

So here is the triangle.

We play all the roles.

And if we were to take this triangle that's sitting up here and flatten it down.

And we drew a point from the top edge.

All the way up to a midpoint,

We're going to make a pyramid shape.

And we drew another point from the second.

And then from the third and they all three lines come to one single point at the top.

And that point is where we are asking ourselves to go now.

That we elevate our perceptions,

Our awarenesses,

Our consciousness into another possibility.

When we played this game,

The triangle flattened down.

There is no way else to go.

We honestly have nowhere else to go.

When we as a victim.

We feel we are beaten,

Persecuted.

We feel the injustice of life.

It is so very challenging for us.

And when we are the rescuer,

We want to just help everybody and save everybody.

And then we feel discouraged because people won't get saved and they won't save themselves.

Everyone stays stuck.

And then we just stop doing what we're doing.

And guess what?

Then we go into the victim.

Life is hard.

It's too awful.

I can do nothing.

I'm useless.

There's nothing I can do.

And we find our courage again and go into perpetrator power that come on me,

Let me do this.

I can do it.

I'm strong and powerful.

I know how to make things work and grab and harness our strength.

We play in these roles and we play with people in these roles.

We dance around them with each other.

We do the tango right up here,

The perpetrators swinging us around,

Flinging us off the walls.

And we,

The victims,

Slumped down,

Sad,

Miserable,

Broken victim.

And then in comes the rescuer.

Ta-da,

Ta-da!

And then we'll rescue ourselves and we'll rescue our children.

We'll get up and we'll stand strong.

We find our way.

And the moment we do that,

We step into that perpetrator or power place.

And then we hold that role.

But they're just roles.

And we play them again and again and again.

And it's so boring.

We don't want to do it anymore.

So don't do it.

Just get out of it,

Recognize it and see it.

The minute you find yourself creeping into it,

The minute you start self-deprecating,

Pushing yourself down,

Telling yourself you're not good enough.

Blaming and shaming and disregarding yourself.

The moment you do that,

Catch yourself in the act.

And stop behavior.

Catch yourself with love.

I am.

So that's it.

There I am flattening my energy.

There I am throwing myself away.

Throwing our energy away.

Demeaning ourselves.

Hurting our being.

In all the places and all the spaces that we play.

Find yourself.

Seeing,

Noticing and witnessing you in it.

Then,

My lovelies,

You are not stuck.

When you can see the game,

You are not the game.

You are the one observing it.

You were the one witnessing it.

When you are able to do that,

You have stepped up and out a little way.

You come into the witness,

That point above.

Where you see what is happening and you notice this with everything,

All our family patterns,

Our work patterns.

Our company patterns,

Our country patterns,

Every structure plays in this pattern.

Until we stop.

So let's just stop,

Because there's something else other than that stone under our foot that's causing us great discomfort.

There are other signals and other awarenesses going on.

There's something else that is signalling.

And we cannot see it.

Until we step up and out to the point of higher awareness.

Consciousness.

All it takes is for us to notice.

Just notice.

The moment you do this,

Your higher self is able to funnel this energy into you,

Connecting here through your crown,

Drawing it through your beautiful being.

And you,

My lovely,

Become a being that can process yourself.

As your multi-dimensional being of light and love.

Using the many facets.

Of your being.

Opening up all your faculties to perceive and understand.

And so we grow and become,

We transform out of just a form that is suppressed and oppressed.

Which has been forever.

And now we step up and we become something else that is to be.

We have no idea what that is.

Now let's celebrate that.

Because we have no idea what it is.

That means it's new.

If we have one idea,

One story,

One way,

We think,

Oh,

I'll just put that in there for a little comfort,

Then I have something I can hang on to,

It's comfortable.

Well,

You're just creating the same structure on another level.

Be very,

Very aware of the game that is being played through your mind,

Body,

Being.

And how we are perpetuating it by playing in it and staying stuck.

All it takes is a moment of awareness for us to find our freedom.

You,

My love,

Are the catalyst for that.

So lefty.

Am I a victim?

No.

But do I know what that's like and what it will do to this world?

And do I even begin to understand what could happen?

If I decide to see something different.

And choose something else.

Mm,

Wonderful.

Wouldn't that be something?

No idea what it is.

But we definitely know it won't be us stuck.

It'll be us expanding,

Opening,

Extending our perceptions,

Our beliefs,

Our ideas,

Our systems.

Becoming more of a cosmic family.

So lovely,

Wouldn't that be delicious?

Let's take a deep breath in.

Then a long,

Slow out-breath.

Relax into this moment and just let your whole body settle down.

This beautiful beingness here on time.

At this pivotal time in the human story.

Please let me see,

Let me know,

Let me understand.

Let me witness myself in my journey.

Let me open up my energy and remind my heart.

Allow me to reconstruct,

Reshape a program that I've become so very sad of.

May it be.

May that be.

You be the one my treasure.

You set yourself free.
