Allow yourself to get comfortable,
Either sitting or lying down.
Give yourself plenty of time to adjust any pillows or blankets and get really comfy.
Close your eyes and place your attention on your breath.
Notice your breathing becoming slower and deeper.
Take in a nice deep breath,
Breathe fully into your belly and let it all go with a sigh.
Let your body know that it's safe and it's time to relax.
Now imagine you are walking through a gorgeous bluebell woods.
There's a little dirt path for you to walk on.
The trees are spread out so it's light and you can see lots of sky.
It's warm and sunny and there's a refreshing cool breeze against your skin.
You start to feel any worries or thoughts drifting away as you walk.
You are fully focused on the feeling of the sun on your skin.
The ground beneath your feet,
Bare feet if that feels good.
And the sight of the beautiful flowers.
It has just stopped raining and it smells amazing,
Earthy and delicious.
You notice a little grassy clearing with a blanket laid out on the ground and you decide to lie down.
The blanket is thick and soft and there's another soft blanket folded up which you unfold and lay over yourself.
You are so comfortable,
Your body feels relaxed and warm.
You notice a gorgeous rainbow above you.
You marvel at the wonder of nature.
You notice that the red of the rainbow seems a little bit brighter than the other colours.
You see the red starting to swirl into a mist and floating down to surround your body.
You start to soak up the red into your body.
Your whole body becomes filled with the beautiful red of the rainbow.
You feel grounded to the earth.
You feel energised.
You feel strong.
Then you notice the orange of the rainbow appearing brighter than the other colours.
You see the orange starting to swirl into a mist and floating down to surround your body.
You start to soak the orange mist into your body.
Your whole body becomes filled with the beautiful orange of the rainbow.
You feel joy.
You feel healthy.
You feel warm.
Next you notice the yellow of the rainbow appearing brighter than the other colours.
You see the yellow starting to swirl into a mist and floating down to surround your body.
You start to soak the yellow mist into your body.
Every cell of your body becomes filled with the beautiful yellow of the rainbow.
You feel cheerful.
You feel vital.
You feel clear.
Next you notice the green of the rainbow appearing brighter than the other colours.
You see the green starting to swirl into a mist and floating down to surround your body.
You start to soak the green mist into your body.
Your whole body becomes filled with the beautiful green of the rainbow.
You feel harmony.
You feel calm.
You feel safe.
Next you notice the blue of the rainbow appearing brighter than the other colours.
You see the blue starting to swirl into a mist and floating down to surround your body.
You start to soak the blue mist into your body.
Your whole body becomes filled with the beautiful blue of the rainbow.
You feel expansive.
You feel tranquil.
You feel free.
Next you notice the purple of the rainbow appearing brighter than the other colours.
You see the purple starting to swirl into a mist and floating down to surround your body.
You start to soak the purple mist into your body.
Your whole body becomes filled with the beautiful purple of the rainbow.
You feel powerful.
You feel wise.
You feel magical.
Now it's time to leave your little spot on the blanket.
You slowly get up and start to walk back along the dirt path.
Everything seems a little bit clearer.
A little bit brighter.
A little bit more magical.
You can come back to your soft blanket at any time and the rainbow will always be there to charge you up and heal you.
Now let the image of the bluebell woods fade away.
Become aware of your body,
Where it's lying or sitting.
Take a few deep delicious breaths.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes and welcome the world.
