This is a three-breath body scan meditation. In this practice, we sweep our attention from the feet to the head across three breaths to ground in the present moment and develop interoceptive awareness, or an awareness of how the body feels on the inside.

Transcript

This is a three-breath body scan meditation,

So let's get to it.

On your first breath,

Bringing attention to the body from the waist down.

And on your second cycle of breath,

Tuning into the body from the waist to the neck.

And on your final breath,

Noticing all of the sensations that let you know that you have a head.

And if you've got one more breath in you,

Offering yourself a bit of gratitude for making the time to practice today.

That's it.

Thank you for your practice.

May you be well.
