Tapping practice is wonderful to do first thing in the morning to get the blood circulating,
Encourage lymphatic drainage,
And create a sense of aliveness and alertness.
Find a comfortable standing position.
Feet hip width apart.
And take a deep breath.
We'll start down at the feet and moving upward,
Using firm fingertips to wake up each area through gentle tapping.
Begin down at your feet and ankles,
Tapping along the soles of your feet.
Across the ankles,
Around each foot.
Feeling a connection to the ground and moving up to the calves and shins.
Use a bit more pressure here,
Tapping up and down the muscles.
Feeling the blood flow increasing.
Now up to your knees and thighs.
If you like you can put your hands into fists and tapping around the knee joints using firmer pressure on the larger muscles of your thighs both front and back.
Notice any areas of stiffness or tension beginning to soften.
And reaching up to your hips and your glutes using firm pressure here around the hip joints.
Feeling a sense of stability and aliveness in your lower body increasing.
And now moving up to your lower back and abdomen and kidney area.
Gentle tapping across your lower back,
Around your belly.
Notice a sense of aliveness and awakening in the center of your body.
And now bring your attention to your arms,
Starting at the fingertips,
Tapping up through your palms,
Your wrists,
Your forearms,
Elbows.
Upper arms,
Feeling the energy moving through your limbs.
Reach up to your shoulders and upper back.
Using firm pressure across your shoulder blades and upper back.
And now moving to your chest and your neck,
Gentle tapping across your collarbones,
Your sternum,
And being careful around your neck area.
And now your scalp and your head,
Using light quick tapping movements across your entire scalp.
Feel your mind and brain becoming more alert.
And finally,
Your face.
Very gentle tapping across the forehead,
The temples,
Cheeks and your jaw.
Noticing any tension there dissolve.
And to complete the practice,
Let's do three inhales whilst gently bouncing up and down on the balls of your feet.
Okay,
Inhale.
And let it go.
Inhale.
Last one,
Inhale.
And end in complete stillness for a moment or two,
Noticing any aliveness or subtle vibrations in your system.
The practice is now complete.
