Welcome to today's daily dose of Martin Luther King's courage and justice.

Dr.

King taught us that love and justice are the most powerful forces for change.

Today,

We'll tap into our inner courage to bring about positive change in our lives and the world around us.

Start by sitting upright,

But without it being uncomfortable.

Make sure that the front of your body is open so as to receive the full range of your breath.

Close your eyes to turn your attention inwards and start breathing slowly through your nose.

Become entirely still.

The only thing moving in you is the air coming in and out of your nostrils.

Now,

Notice what's happening in your experience of this moment.

The different sounds around you.

The sensations of your chair or cushion beneath you.

And if you feel a particular mood today,

Notice how that mood manifests within your body.

Turn your attention to the sensations of your breathing and notice how your body is breathing on autopilot,

Without you having to do anything but to observe this rising and falling movement.

Now,

Starting at the top of your head and all the way down to your toes,

Observe the sensations in your body with curiosity.

If you notice stronger sensations,

Slowly sweep your attention once again on this area and notice if they're linked to any particular emotion you're feeling today.

If at any point during this meditation you're distracted by thoughts,

Sounds or sensations,

It's perfectly normal and it's okay.

When you notice these thoughts,

Simply bring your attention back to your breath,

That is to the sensations of the air coming in and out of your nostrils or to the rise and fall of your chest or abdomen.

Follow your breath from the very beginning of the inhale to the very end of your exhale.

And now,

Simply by observing your breath,

Allow it to slow down so that the flow of air moving in and out of your body becomes thinner and thinner,

As if your breath was following the rhythm of tiny waves on a quiet beach.

When you follow your breath with your full attention,

It's as if you're following the waves in the depths of your inner ocean.

You can watch the waves of your thoughts and emotions from an area of calm and serenity.

If you get caught into one of these waves,

It's all right.

Simply bring your attention back to your breath.

Now imagine yourself walking alongside Dr.

King during a peaceful protest,

Standing up for justice and equality.

The sound of footsteps creates a steady rhythm,

Like a heartbeat of unity.

Around you,

Voices rise in song,

Melodies of resilience and freedom that soar like waves of courage,

Lifting everyone in their path.

The air is charged with a quiet power,

A collective determination of people working together to build a better world.

You feel the warmth of the sun on your face and the strength of the community surrounding you.

As you walk,

Envision Martin Luther King leading the march by your side.

His presence is calm but powerful,

His gaze full of hope and determination.

You feel the quiet strength of his conviction,

And the warmth of his vision for justice and equality.

Now think of an area in your life,

Your community,

Or the world where you long to see change,

Where justice is needed and courage is required.

Hold this cause in your mind as Dr.

King leads you.

Dr.

King's words echo in your heart.

The time is always right to do what is right.

As you focus on this cause,

Imagine what the change you seek would look and feel like.

Here and now,

With every inhale,

Bring to your body the joy you will feel when that change comes.

Now,

Picture yourself facing an obstacle to this cause,

A fear,

An injustice,

Or a moment of doubt.

Notice any tension that arises,

But allow it to simply be there without judgment.

Like Dr.

King,

You recognize that true courage is not the absence of fear,

But the ability to act with love and conviction in the face of it.

With each inhale,

Draw in the strength and resolve to stand up for what's right.

With each exhale,

Release fear,

Hesitation,

Or self-doubt.

Feel yourself grounded in your values and guided by your vision for justice.

Now,

Imagine using your own words and actions to inspire change with clarity and compassion.

Feel the strength of your voice,

The steadiness of your heart.

Feel the strength of your resolve.

And notice how your actions ripple outward,

Empowering others to join in the pursuit of justice.

Let's focus on three affirmations inspired by Martin Luther King.

As you breathe deeply,

Let these words resonate within you,

Syncing with the steady rhythm of your breath.

First affirmation,

I allow my love to fuel my actions.

Second affirmation,

I am committed to doing what is right,

Even when it is difficult.

Third affirmation,

I walk with courage and faith.

Allow these affirmations to take root in your heart,

Empowering you to carry them into your life.

Before ending this meditation,

Once again notice your current mood and observe how you feel when you're connected to the present moment.

You can now slowly come back to the space around you by noticing your surroundings,

Starting with the ambient sounds,

The weight of your body on your seat,

And when you're ready,

You can slowly open your eyes.

I hope you found this meditation meaningful.

Have a beautiful day and I'll see you tomorrow for another meditation.
