Hello there,
It's John here.
I'd love to share with you verse 28 from the Dao Te Ching and I thought it'd be really beautiful if we turn this into a just a short five minute meditation.
So I want to invite you just to allow yourself to be here.
Feeling into the feeling of life in your body,
Whatever you're doing,
Whether you're driving,
Sitting at home or out for a walk,
Feeling into the life of your body and allowing yourself to listen from your heart.
In fact,
Allowing yourself to listen from your spirit rather than the mind or the heart and feeling that attitude,
That sense of openness in this feeling of life and embodiment.
Verse 28,
Know the strength of man but keep a woman's care.
Be the stream of the universe,
Being the stream of the universe,
Ever true and unswerving.
Become as a little child once more.
Know the white but keep the black.
Be an example to the world,
Being an example to the world,
Ever true and unwavering.
Return to the infinite.
No honor yet keep humility.
Be the valley of the universe.
Being the valley of the universe,
Ever true and resourceful.
Return to the state of the uncarved block.
When the block is carved it becomes useful.
When the sage uses it he becomes the ruler.
Thus a great tailor cuts little.
So we can allow the poem,
The words,
The space between the words to be met in that feeling of life in the body,
In that attitude of openness.
We notice that the mind considers the words.
We notice that our emotions resonate with the feelings.
And you feel that openness in your spirit and your sense of yourself just being here.
The awareness of your true wild and beautiful nature.
Congruent with this moment and absorbing the wisdom of the words of the Dao and the space of that deep intuition and knowing within yourself.
Thank you for taking these few minutes with me.
Bless you.
Have a beautiful day my friend.
