If you're here today,
Perhaps you're standing at one of those strange crossroads in life.
You know something needs to change?
You know you don't want to stay exactly where you are.
And yet,
Every direction feels uncertain.
Every choice seems to come with another question.
And maybe you've been waiting.
Waiting for certainty.
Waiting for a sign.
Waiting until you finally know exactly what you want,
Before you allow yourself to move.
For the next few minutes,
I'd like to offer you something different.
Not answers,
But a little room to breathe.
Take a slow,
Gentle breath in.
And slowly let it go.
Again.
Breathing in.
.
.
And breathing out.
Allow your shoulders to relax.
Let your body become just a little heavier,
Supported by whatever is holding you right now.
There is nowhere you need to be.
Nothing you need to figure out.
Just this moment.
So many of us believe that before we can move forward,
We need to know exactly where we're going.
We search for certainty as though it's something we're supposed to find before we're allowed to begin.
We tell ourselves.
Once I know what I want.
Then I'll take action.
But what if we got it the other way around?
I've noticed this in my own life.
Every time I've tried to force myself to figure everything out before taking a step,
I've ended up feeling more stuck.
More pressure.
More overthinking.
But when I've simply followed the next thing that felt interesting,
Meaningful or quietly exciting.
Life has often surprised me in ways I never could have planned.
Because clarity doesn't always arrive before the journey.
Sometimes it arrives because of it.
Imagine yourself standing at the beginning of a quiet forest path early in the morning.
A soft mist hangs between the trees.
Several trails stretch out before you,
Disappearing into the distance.
You wish someone could tell you which path is the right one.
Which one leads to the life you're hoping for.
But no signs appear.
Only silence.
And the gentle invitation to take one step.
As you begin walking,
Something interesting happens.
You realize you never needed to see the whole path.
Only the few steps in front of you.
With each step the mist begins to lift,
Just a little.
A bend in the path appears.
Sunlight filters through the trees.
You notice things you couldn't possibly have seen while standing still.
And perhaps that's how life works too.
We often think clarity comes before action.
So often clarity comes because of action.
Because you tried something.
Because you had a conversation.
Because you said yes?
Or because you said no.
Because every experience,
Even the ones that didn't work out,
Taught you something about yourself.
That thinking alone never could.
You don't need your five-year plan today.
You don't need every answer.
You don't even need to know exactly who you're becoming.
You simply need enough courage to stay curious.
To notice what gives you energy.
Makes time disappear.
What feels light.
What feels meaningful.
To trust that those small moments are quietly pointing you in a direction.
There is something else I'd like you to remember.
Changing direction isn't failure.
Outgrowing a dream isn't failure.
Discovering that something isn't for you isn't waste time.
Every path you walk teaches you something.
Every experience becomes part of the person you're becoming.
Nothing is ever truly lost.
Take another slow breath in.
And as you breathe out.
Imagine setting down the heavy backpack you've been carrying.
The one filled with expectations,
Timelines,
Comparisons.
And the belief that you should have everything figured out by now.
Notice how much light you feel without it.
Perhaps you don't need to know exactly where you're going.
Perhaps you'll need to trust yourself enough to take the next kind step.
The next curious step.
The next honest step.
And then let life meet you there.
Take one final slow breath in.
And gently let it go.
As you begin to bring your awareness back to the room,
I'd like to leave you with this thought.
You don't have to know exactly where your path will lead.
You only have to be willing to take the next step.
Because sometimes the path doesn't become clear until you're already walking it.
And perhaps.
.
.
That's been enough.
All along.
