If you've chosen this meditation today,
Perhaps you're standing in a place where life feels uncertain.
Maybe you're waiting for an answer that hasn't come yet.
Maybe you're wondering what comes next,
Hoping for a sign,
A guarantee.
Or some kind of certainty before you take your next step.
If that feels familiar,
I'd like you to know that you're not alone.
Take a slow gentle breath in.
And slowly breathe out.
Again.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Allow your shoulders to relax.
Let your hands rest comfortably.
Feel the support beneath you.
Notice that even though your mind may be thinking about tomorrow,
Your body is here,
Safely held,
In this moment.
There is nothing you need to figure out right now.
Just breathe.
One of the hardest things about being human.
Is that we naturally long for certainty.
We want to know that we're making the right decision.
That things will work out.
That we're heading in the right direction.
We tell ourselves that once we know what will happen,
We'll finally be able to relax.
But life rarely offers those kinds of guarantees.
When you look back at your own life.
You'll probably notice something.
Some of your most meaningful moments began without certainty.
You didn't know exactly where they would lead you.
You simply took the next step.
Imagine yourself standing beside a calm lake early in the morning.
A soft mist rests on the surface of the water.
You can't see the opposite shore.
Can't see where the path eventually leads.
At first,
Your instinct is to wait.
To hope the mist disappears before you move.
But then you notice something.
You don't actually need to see the other side of the lake.
You only need to trust the ground beneath your feet.
As you begin walking along the shoreline,
Nothing dramatic happens.
The mist doesn't suddenly disappear.
Instead,
It slowly begins to lift as the morning unfolds.
With every few steps,
You can see just a little farther than before.
Not because you forced the fog away,
But because you kept moving.
Perhaps clarity is a little like that.
Not something we force.
But something that gently reveals itself over time.
Take another slow breath in.
And gently breathe out.
As you exhale,
Imagine releasing the pressure to know everything before you begin.
The pressure to make the perfect decision.
The pressure to predict every outcome.
The pressure to have your future neatly planned before you're allowed to trust yourself.
What if you didn't have to?
What if trusting yourself isn't about knowing what's coming next?
What if it's about believing that whatever comes next,
You'll meet it with the same resilience you've always had?
Because you have lived through uncertainty before.
You have found your footing before.
You have adapted.
You have learned.
You've grown.
Even when you couldn't see how.
Take one final slow breath.
As you breathe in,
Invite in just a little more trust.
As you breathe out,
Let go of the need to see the entire path ahead.
You don't need the whole map today.
You only need enough courage for the next step.
And trust that life has a beautiful way of revealing the path as you walk it.
As you begin to bring your awareness back to the room.
I'd like to leave you with this thought.
The unknown isn't asking you to have all the answers.
It's simply asking you to trust that you're capable of finding your way.
One step.
One moment.
One day at a time.
