This practice is designed to guide and support you in the process of welcoming feelings of distress rather than resisting them. Many times, we try to change things that cannot be changed--we struggle against them and end up feeling POWERLESS and MORE STRESSED. However, when we learn to welcome sensations to flow freely just as they are, responding more skillfully and intentionally, we end up feeling more EMPOWERED, BALANCED and AT EASE . . . even in the midst of stressful events.
