Settling into your space,
Allow yourself to find comfort in your immediate surroundings.
Find presence in this moment,
Just as you are.
You may remain lying in your bed,
Or you may come into a seated posture.
Whatever feels comfortable to you.
Take a moment to thank yourself for putting in this time to nurture mind,
Body,
And soul.
Take a deep breath through your nose,
Feel your chest and belly rise,
Holding at the top of the breath,
And exhale release.
Do this a few times with your own breath flow.
Visualize each inhale as a cleansing,
Revitalizing breath.
And each exhale as a release of everything that no longer serves you.
What a wonderful way to start your day,
Being in relationship with your breath.
Let each breath arrive calmly and peacefully,
Clearing any leftover energy remaining from the night before.
To begin the day,
We'll use some affirmations to provide us with a surge of energy and infuse the day with positive momentum.
Repeat these affirmations silently or out loud.
I offer my best self today.
I will nourish my mind and body with things that fill me up and make me feel good.
I release all that no longer serves me.
I am here and I am present.
I focus on my highest good in everything I do.
Let the energy behind the words penetrate deeply.
Now take a moment to see your day play out before you.
What do you see yourself doing today?
How do you want to feel?
Perhaps you see yourself moving throughout the day with ease and grace,
Exchanging smiles with the people that you encounter.
Reconnect the feeling behind it,
Using all your senses.
Go hold back.
Now visualize your body standing upright with your palms beside you in an attitude of giving and receiving.
While keeping your eyes closed before we end our practice,
We'll take a moment of gratitude.
Gratitude for the people that come together to share in the power of stillness.
Gratitude for the air in our lungs and for this very day that we breathe it.
Know that you are strong and in this moment you are well.
You can slowly open your eyes and welcome yourself back.
Welcome to this new day.
