Before you rush into your morning routine,
Let's take one slow deep breath in and invite this day to meet you where you want to be.
So much of our day is framed by the state of mind we establish when we first enter into it.
These early wakeful minutes are sacred and they are entirely yours to have your way with.
So let's gently shake off your dream state,
Have a stretch,
And set an intention.
We'll focus this morning on your perspective.
Think of it as a window,
The window through which you will look upon the world today.
When we direct our perspective,
We see more of what we intend to see.
Energy flows to where our attention goes.
So ask yourself this morning,
How do you want to view the world today?
Maybe you want to focus on beauty,
A day where you can't help but see the loveliness in everything around you.
You may opt to hone in on gratitude today,
Taking particular note of your blessings and all the little ways they show up in your day to day life.
You could choose to view this day with patience,
Giving yourself grace when you would otherwise feel rushed,
And offering grace to those who cross your path all day long.
Whatever perspective serves you best,
Choose that.
Set your intention to filter this day through the window that you chose to open.
Gently close your eyes and focus on that perspective.
Let the feeling of it settle into your body.
With this intention,
Envision your day ahead.
With your mind's eye,
Look through that open window and watch your day unfold.
