Find a comfortable seated or lying down position.

Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Take another deep sip of air and exhale slowly.
One last big breath in,
Exhale slowly.
Now let your breath be natural as you allow your mind to release any lingering thoughts focusing solely on the present moment through your mindful attention.
Bring your mindful attention to your natural breathing.
Feel the natural rhythm of your inhales and exhales.
Allow your breath to become a soothing anchor grounding you in this space.
Notice the breath,
Something that's always there,
Often without our awareness,
Bringing life into the body and releasing it back out into the ether.
As you continue to breathe,
Begin to generate feelings of gratitude for this giving and receiving of life in and out of the body.
Now turn your awareness to the physical body,
Starting with your toes,
Noticing all 10 toes,
Envisioning a warm,
Soft light gently washing over them.
Feel any tension melting away at this light.
Notice as the light moves up to your feet,
Ankles,
Calves.
With each passing breath,
Let this light cascade upward,
Relaxing and soothing every muscle it touches.
Continue this ascent of relaxation as the light flows into your knees,
Thighs and hips.
Sense the gentle release of any tightness or discomfort.
Your body is gradually becoming lighter and more at ease.
Now direct your focus to your abdomen and chest.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath as your diaphragm expands and contracts.
Let this motion be a reminder of the life-giving energy within you.
Continue to follow this light,
Moving up to your shoulders,
Arms and hands.
Allow this soothing light to embrace them.
Any tension stored here dissolves,
Leaving you feeling serene and rejuvenated.
Now let the light spread through your neck and throat,
Softening any constriction.
Embrace any thoughts or worries that may have carried over from the night.
Finally bring your awareness to your face and head.
Let the gentle light caress your forehead,
Temples and the back of your head.
Feel your facial muscles relax and let go of any lingering tension.
Now feel your whole body as it's bathed in this warm,
Comforting light.
Take a moment to appreciate the sensation of complete relaxation and presence in your body.
As you continue to breathe mindfully,
Remember that this sense of peace and calm is always accessible to you,
Even amidst the challenges of the day.
Now carrying this newfound tranquility with you,
Slowly begin to open your eyes,
Ready to embrace the day with a centered and refreshed spirit.
