Happy summer solstice and welcome to your inner sun meditation.
We will be focusing on the third chakra,
It's the solar plexus chakra,
So it is under the ribs above the belly button,
Right in kind of that center of power.
And it is also known as Manipura,
And that means filled with gems.
The color associated with this chakra is yellow,
And this is the symbol,
There's another more detailed symbol in your booklet.
It is the element of fire,
And it is associated with our stomach,
Liver,
Gallbladder,
Spleen,
Adrenal glands.
And as I've said in the booklet,
You can also use a sunstone during this meditation.
This meditation is best done outside in the sunshine,
If that's available to you.
I'm not doing that just because of recording purposes,
I don't know what's going to go by at any time and I don't want it to distract you.
But if you can,
I really suggest using sun protection,
Popping some earbuds in,
And sitting outside for this meditation.
But you do whatever is best for you,
And remember that it's more important for you to be comfortable than for you to follow my instructions.
So when you are comfortable and you're in a great spot,
We will begin.
The first thing we're going to do is breathe into that area.
And so it's helpful if you place your hands,
It can be like a fist over a fist or a hand over hand.
It's going to be below the ribs,
Above the belly button,
Kind of feel in there,
And you're going to place your hands there and we're going to take some breaths in there.
So it is very similar to a belly breath that we've done before,
A balloon breath,
But it's a little more conscious.
We're going to try to breathe right into there,
So let's try to take a breath in there.
Feel your hands rise,
Slowly exhale,
And when you exhale I want you to pull your stomach in like you're doing a core or an ab exercise,
Just so you can really feel in the physical body where that chakra would be.
So let's do that again.
We're going to breathe out,
I mean breathe in,
Fill it up,
And then breathe out,
Kind of pull it in,
Just feel that.
You don't have to do that whole meditation,
Don't worry,
I just wanted you to be able to feel where that was.
If it's comfortable for you,
I'd like you to keep your hands in that spot as we do the meditation and as much as you can breathe into it.
So we're going to take some more breaths,
Don't worry about pulling in the abs this time,
And when you're ready I invite you to close your eyes.
The first thing we want to do is connect to the earth and really ground ourselves down so that we can focus on that chakra.
So however you are sitting or lying,
I just want you to really feel whatever surface is below you,
The chair,
The bed,
The ground.
Really feel it.
Feel that you are here,
Grounded,
Connected to the earth.
If you're doing this on the summer solstice,
It's the longest day of sunshine,
It's full of light,
The earth is happy,
She's basking.
Really connect to that energy,
That light,
The light that's all around you,
The light that's within you,
The light within the earth,
The light from the sun.
Take a moment to connect with all of this light and sunshine.
So your solar plexus is your inner sun,
It is your place of power.
So I want you to take a moment to think about what power means to you,
And if you were in your power,
Your most powerful version of yourself,
What would you look like?
Don't worry about what you see or how you imagine,
Remember this is private,
It's just you and your mind.
So how do you look when you're standing in your power,
When you are just the most powerful version of yourself?
And not egotistical mean power,
That inner power,
That confidence,
That you love yourself and you feel good and everything's going your way,
You just feel powerful like you can do anything,
That kind of power.
How do you look when you stand in that power,
Or how would you look when you stand in that power?
So just take a moment and imagine yourself in your most powerful version of yourself.
Now we're going to focus on that chakra,
That space,
And we're going to see it as a light,
Maybe a small light,
Maybe a big light,
But you're going to see it as some kind of light.
Without judging,
I want you to just see what kind of light is there,
Observe what you think your solar plexus,
That chakra looks like.
Is it a light bulb,
Is it a flame,
Is it a small sun,
How does it look?
Now I want you to take your arms and raise them over your head,
Sort of like in a V position if that's available to you,
Either sitting or lying down,
And I would like you to repeat after me,
Either aloud or in your head.
Father,
Son,
Divine masculine,
Solar power,
Thank you for lighting up my inner sun,
My inner power.
And then you can take your hands and slowly bring them down,
And I want you to imagine the sun's rays,
The sunlight pouring into you.
So it's coming from the sun directly into your crown,
Going down the column of your spine,
And lighting up that inner sun.
So however you imagine that light,
That solar plexus light,
It's growing,
And it's growing,
It's huge,
It's burning bright,
It's strong.
It's like your own inner sun,
And it's lighting up your whole body,
Giving you the confidence and the power and the ability,
The energy to take on whatever it is you want to take on this season.
Take a breath,
Really see that inner sun burning super bright,
And then repeat after me.
I step into my power.
I am confident.
I am lovingly powerful.
I use my power for the greatest good of myself and all.
I am worthy of power.
I am a powerful being.
It is safe for me to be confident.
I am a light.
And if you'd like to add any other affirmation or prayer,
I'll let you have a moment to do that.
I want you to see that inner sun,
That inner fire one more time.
I want you to see it lighting up your whole spinal column.
Your whole spine,
All those other chakras are bright and shining because of this inner sun.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Chakra work is life-changing,
And it's something we have to do all the time.
My Reiki master studied with a guru,
And he said that it's the Western idea that you can do one thing for your chakras,
And then you're set for life.
But chakras are constantly balancing and imbalancing,
And by the time we hit summer,
We really need a tune-up for our inner sun.
We need that inner power to help us get through and put things into action,
As that's the term right now,
Is to go and do and to create and be in action.
That's what we're doing,
And we need that inner sun,
And we need that inner energy,
That inner fire.
Some other things that help with the solar plexus are whole grains and beans,
Working with flowers and drinking flowers such as chamomile,
Crystals such as sunstone,
Citrine,
Jasper,
And topaz.
And just kind of in general,
Those affirmations,
If some of those really stuck with you,
I would say repeat them every day until our next season.
You can even say something like,
My power radiates from the center of my being.
You can just say something like,
I step into my power.
It is safe for me to be powerful.
Whatever one really resonates with you,
We are taking on a new version of power.
This isn't ego power.
This isn't trying to manipulate other people and take their power.
This isn't a power of taking from others.
It isn't a power of dominating others.
This is a power of inside.
It's starting from the inside,
From our light,
From our own energy,
To give us the confidence and the ability to get out in the world and tackle whatever it is we want to tackle.
So I hope your summer is beautiful and you can really step into that inner sun and feel your inner sun burning from the inside out.
