Welcome my beautiful friend.

This is a meditation with affirmations for pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a time of much growth and change,

Not just physically but emotionally as well.

At times you may feel overwhelmed by a flooding of emotions.

You may have aches and pains in swollen parts of your body.

You may have lots of complications or you may feel just fine.

This meditation is meant to help you find a balance between your new role as pregnant woman and soon-to-be mother and yourself.

Let us begin while closing our eyes.

Take a deep breath and place both hands on your belly.

Begin to massage your belly however feels good.

You can make circles,

You can give it some scratches,

You can move front to back,

You can move side to side.

Just what feels good on that belly.

We are going to do a body scan.

Right now your body is supporting another life but it still needs to be treated with love and kindness.

Let's start at the feet.

Go there with your mind's eye.

Really feel your feet in your mind.

Wiggle your toes and feel them.

What's going on with them?

Are they swollen?

Are they tired?

Have they grown?

Give them thanks for carrying you through this journey into motherhood.

No matter how they feel.

Now let's move up your legs.

Notice how they feel.

Do they feel heavy?

Do they feel strong?

Give them gratitude for supporting you.

Every day of being pregnant is like running a marathon.

And these legs have carried you all the way through your life and are now carrying somebody else.

And after your baby is born,

They'll continue to carry them.

Let's move on to your pelvis.

This will soon widen to pass your beautiful baby from the darkness into the light.

What a miracle.

Let's move back to your belly.

It has changed and continues to change.

It may never be the same,

And that's okay.

In there,

Your little one or little ones are being nourished.

Your body just knows what to do.

Move up through your spine.

Is your back tired from supporting too?

Give it gratitude for all the support.

Move to your chest.

Your strong heart beats.

It is moving so much blood.

It is working hard to sustain two lives.

Give it gratitude.

Move to your breasts.

They are growing and changing and will soon fill with milk to continue to stay,

Sustain life.

Your body is growing life and can continue to nourish that life.

You really are a miracle.

Now move up to your face.

Relax your jaw.

Smile.

Relax your eyes.

Take a deep breath and let us begin the affirmations.

Repeat after me aloud in a whisper in your own mind,

Even if you don't believe these things at first.

I am strong.

I am beautiful.

I am supporting two lives.

I am changing every day.

I am a mother.

I am nourishing myself and my baby.

I am healthy.

I am brave.

I am a miracle.

Repeat these affirmations as often as you need.

And remember,

Mothers have come before you and mothers will come after you.

But you are still a miracle.

You are a sacred being.

You may take a deep breath and open your eyes.

Namaste my beautiful mama.
