Hello my friend and welcome to Move Toward with Jenna based on the IFS model where we learn to move toward all parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion.
I'm Jenna and today we will move toward newness.
So take a moment to settle into your body in the way that you know best.
Perhaps closing your external eyes and opening the eyes to your internal world.
Maybe slowing and deepening your breath.
And bringing a gentle loving kindness to your experience today.
And as you begin to notice how you are arriving in this moment,
See if you can bring a welcoming,
Curious,
Compassionate energy to all the different parts of you that may be here.
And whatever you're aware of is exactly right for you today.
You may begin to notice some overwhelm,
Numbness,
Hopelessness,
Excitement,
Curiosity,
Interest.
Whatever is present for you,
Spend a moment with each feeling,
Each thought,
Each physical sensation.
Letting all these parts of you know that they are loved and are welcome here.
Imagine if they've become stuck in some painful feelings or behaviors.
Continuing to breathe in a spirit of loving kindness and bathing your inner experience with compassion and with love.
And if any parts of you are struggling to receive this loving kindness from you,
That's perfectly normal,
You can take some time to spend a little extra attention and focus with these parts that may be struggling.
Getting to know what their worries are,
What might happen if they received your love and care.
That if it begins to feel like your system is able to receive this loving energy from you and the various parts of your inner experience become a little more relaxed,
You may begin to sense a deep connection to the core of who you truly are.
And if that's the case for you,
You may begin to notice a deep sense of calm,
Of clear-mindedness,
Of compassion,
A deep sense of love.
If you are connecting into this core essence of who you truly are,
You may even begin to notice a gentle vibrating energy in your hands and palms or in your core,
A deep sense of wellness.
And if you have some connection to this sense of the essence of who you are,
And if it feels like a fit for you,
You may want to ask a question into your inner experience.
What is next for me?
What am I called to next?
And resisting any temptation to figure out the answer to that question,
But just allowing the question to be expressed internally.
And if it's a fit for your personal experience,
You may even wish to invite in divine guidance without any preconceptions of what that might look like or sound like.
Just inviting in that guidance that is larger than who you are,
But deeply connected to your core.
And as you do so,
Sitting with this curiosity,
What is the newness for me next?
Is there anything I am called to lay down?
Any necessary endings that are needed in my life?
Is there anything I am called to pick up?
Any new beginnings ahead of me?
How might I manifest courage in these situations?
What would it look like for me to embody compassion in these areas?
How would it feel to enter into or step out of these contexts with loving kindness and clear-mindedness?
Taking as long as you would like to continue to sit with anything that may be percolating up,
Asking for additional guidance,
Or offering additional questions.
But whenever that feels complete for now,
You may wish to set an intention with what has come up for you today.
And then as you feel ready,
You may wish to begin to deepen your breath again,
Gently bringing awareness into your fingers and toes with a gentle movement.
As you feel ready,
Slowly blinking your eyes back open and returning your focus into the room around you.
And if you noticed that some important information came up for you during this meditation,
I would invite you to take a few moments right now to journal or jot down any thoughts,
Awarenesses,
Images or impressions that may have arrived for you.
Until next time,
My friends,
May our thoughts move toward,
May our words move toward,
May our hearts move toward with curiosity and compassion.
Thank you for joining me.
Namaste.
