Welcome.
I'm Jen,
A mom of three,
A former junior high and high school classroom teacher.
And I was once in your shoes.
You're in the right place.
There really is nowhere else you need to be.
Find a position that feels comfortable.
You don't need to sit perfectly.
Just get cozy.
Close your eyes.
You've been holding a lot in.
And together,
We're going to let some of it go.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
Hold it.
Exhale fully.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your jaw relax.
Sometimes you feel smaller than someone else.
They seem more confident,
More sure,
More extra.
It may not even be directed towards you.
Or maybe it is.
Either way,
This feeling within you is showing up like everyone else has it all figured out.
You are not less.
You are human.
Thousands of years ago,
Survival depended on belonging.
Your nervous system learned to ask,
Where do I stand?
Am I safe?
Do I fit in?
That ancient wiring is still inside you.
You're surrounded by different personalities.
Strong energy.
So your brain reacts.
It compares.
It tries to protect you.
To avoid rejection or embarrassment,
You begin adjusting the dial on who you are by building a strategy to protect you.
It's okay.
Instead of fighting the feeling or pretending it isn't there,
You're going to do something different this time.
You're going to transmute it.
That simply means turning the feeling into something lighter.
Because this feeling is like a freight train.
Heavy.
Loud.
It shakes everything when it passes through.
Take another slow breath in.
Hold it.
Let your breath go.
Imagine you feel something cold and heavy sitting in the palms of your hands.
As you look at what you're holding,
You notice the freight train.
Cold metal.
Small,
But it carries thoughts like,
They're better than me.
I'm behind.
I don't measure up.
I'm not worthy.
Everyone sees who I really am.
But just like a train passing through the station,
These ideas do not stay.
These thoughts are not permanent.
They came from comparison.
From moments that slowly multiplied.
And that weight has been heavy for you.
No wonder you feel this way.
You've been carrying something that felt massive.
Bring your attention into your body.
Notice where this heaviness lives.
Maybe in your chest,
Your stomach,
Perhaps your throat.
Take a slow breath in and focus on that area.
As you exhale,
Feel the space around it.
Notice the edges of the feeling.
Where it begins.
Where it ends.
You may begin to notice something surprising.
What once felt enormous is actually quite small.
It was never the size you imagined.
It was simply something your body was holding.
Watch it for a moment.
You don't need to push it away.
You don't need to fix it.
Just observe.
Notice the shape of it.
The weight of it.
And as you breathe slowly,
Notice it becoming a little lighter.
A little smaller.
Take another slow breath in.
And this time,
Bring your attention to the palms of your hands.
Now imagine that feeling gently moving from the place it was sitting in your body,
Down your arms,
And into your hands.
You're not forcing it.
You are simply allowing it to move.
Let it rest there for a moment.
Right in the center of your palms.
Taking the shape of a small freight train.
Something you can hold.
Something you can look at.
Something that no longer has to live inside you.
Just breathe with it there.
It doesn't belong to you.
Notice it's not your energy.
You can let it go by slowly lowering your hands.
Just set it down.
Watch it click onto its railroad tracks.
Notice the sound as it begins to move.
Slow at first.
Then steady.
Then farther away.
The ground isn't shaking.
The air is quiet.
And you are still here.
Notice the quiet energy in your palms.
The train is gone.
And you're here.
Your body feels lighter.
You're done carrying what was never yours to hold.
The voice that says I'm not enough was never your identity.
It was never you.
It was a reaction.
A protective system doing its job.
And you are not the reaction.
You are the one who notices it.
There will always be someone louder,
More confident,
More expressive,
More visible,
More judgy.
Or not as kind as others.
That does not place you below them.
It does not subtract from you.
It simply means they are being them and you are being you.
Different is no longer a threat.
Someone else's presence does not dim your light.
Your value does not rise or fall based on who is around.
Notice the space in your body where you held those heavy feelings.
Notice how it feels more open now.
More spacious.
Take a slow breath in.
And as you exhale,
Remember you are safe.
The next time that small feeling rises,
You know what to do.
You know it doesn't belong to you.
You know how to turn the weight of those feelings into something lighter.
By noticing them.
By setting them down.
And by letting them pass.
By remembering that you are still here.
And those feelings and people,
They will not remain.
Trust the process.
You are worthy.
I promise it is all worth it.
Take one more slow breath in.
And when you're ready,
Release.
Completely.
Gently open your eyes.
Whenever you need to come back to this guided meditation,
I'll be right here.
