Hi,
This is Sharon Bosworth teaching folks how to find a patch of calm in this crazy world.
In the middle of our busy schedules,
It's easy to get caught up in the hectic pace of our surroundings.
We have been told that our lives are better because of the technical advances like high speed internet,
High tech conveniences,
And modern inventions.
And yes,
Modern technology has benefited our lives.
It has also increased the pace at which we live.
With life moving at such a fast pace,
Is it any wonder that we feel scattered and stressed?
In a world where being an overachiever or a perfectionist is a compliment,
We tend to feel guilty for taking a moment for ourselves.
Yet if we do not take time for ourselves,
You will not have anything to give.
So be sure to include some time each day for activities that have a relaxing and calming effect on you.
I find pausing and taking three deep breaths throughout the day helps my outlook along with starting each day with calming and positive affirmations.
So please join me in these affirmations.
Repeat them in your mind,
Whisper them to yourself,
Or say them out loud.
Whatever helps you keep focus and whatever you are comfortable with.
So let's begin.
I am calm and at peace.
I am okay.
I am enough.
All is well in my world.
My body is relaxed.
I have everything I need within me.
I am important.
I will smile today.
I attract positive people into my life.
There is no one better to be than myself.
I will focus on the positive parts of experiences.
I will let go of what I cannot change and do my best with what I can.
I can do whatever I set my mind to.
I believe in myself and what I am capable of doing.
I can get through anything.
My mistakes are a way of learning.
I deserve to be loved and respected.
And for this last affirmation,
I would like you to fill in the blank.
I am grateful for.
As you go throughout your day to day,
Remember the things that you are grateful for.
Focus on things that bring you joy.
Look for the positive things around you.
If you feel yourself getting stressed or overwhelmed,
Remember to stop and breathe and have a magnificent day.
