Making any adjustments to allow complete comfort and peace.
Invite a deep relaxation to enter into your physical body.
Let your breath flow naturally into your lungs and into your belly.
Imagine your inhale reaching all the way to your toes.
Exhale into stillness,
Releasing the thoughts,
Stress,
And any worries this day has brought.
Giving way to complete peace and calm.
Clear your mind and let them go.
Notice your natural breath.
Breathe in and out.
Be gentle with yourself.
How each breath allows you to soften more and more.
Loosen any tightness and ease any pain.
You may let it soften and subside.
Let go.
If you feel any tightness in any area of your body,
Release it.
Let it soften,
Loosen,
And let go.
If you feel any pain in any area of your body,
Soften that area by sending warmth,
Loosening,
Ease,
And calm.
Breathe into it.
Let it go with each gentle breath.
Your thoughts can drift away now.
There is no need to guide them or explore them.
Just let them drift and observe.
Peace and calm.
Allow a flow of relaxation to enter into the top of your head,
Softening the muscles in your face,
Your lips,
Loosening your jaw,
Swallowing to ease your throat,
Deepening your breath,
Easing down your neck,
Releasing any tension in your shoulders and chest,
Releasing,
Warming,
Relaxing your belly,
Calming,
Releasing,
Warming,
Allowing this calm warmth to continue.
Down your legs,
To the tips of your toes,
And your whole body is softened and relaxed.
If at any time you wish to succumb to this serene rest and drift into sleep,
Your subconscious will take in the benefits of this for you.
Now imagine you find yourself in a victorian hallway with tall ceilings and finely crafted trim.
The walls are adorned with well-framed portraits.
Looking closely,
You notice these portraits are of you,
Your younger self,
In a time when life was simple,
Happy,
And peaceful.
You see reflections of where you came from and how far you have come to be where you are today.
Walk along,
Viewing visual memories,
Special memories,
Perhaps times spent with family,
Friends,
Milestone moments.
Do you see a special memory?
Reflect on that,
A time when your life was heading in one particular direction,
And then perhaps an epiphany led you in another direction,
Lending to your growth.
Thinking of the struggles you have overcome,
What you have excelled at,
The things you've accomplished,
Great and small.
Allow yourself to feel gratitude,
And stay with this gratitude.
As you reach the far end of the hall,
You come to a candlelit stairwell,
Placing your hand on the smooth mahogany rail.
You begin to descend with anticipation,
Building of what lies ahead.
With each step,
You are more relaxed and comfortable.
Your body and mind are more relaxed,
Eased,
Receiving mental and physical rest.
Knowing that when you wake,
You will feel well rested,
Focused,
And centered,
And this will continue throughout the day,
Step by step,
Deeper and deeper.
Nearing the last few steps,
The stairway opens into a cozy parlor,
Adorned with decor that is warm and welcoming.
Among these are a comfortable chaise lounge,
And a large,
Exquisite,
Handcrafted,
Golden-framed mirror,
Flanked by two enchanted candelabras.
The golden light illuminates your image as you approach a reflection in this magical looking glass.
It is you indeed,
Yet there is something different,
Perhaps stronger and more confident.
You come to believe that this image is of yourself that you wish to be,
Your future self.
Your image greets you with a loving hello and says to you,
I am so proud of you.
See how you have overcome so much to be who you are today.
The mountains you've climbed to be where you are today,
To be who you are tomorrow.
How you achieved things you wanted,
Places you wanted to go,
Things you wanted to do.
Sharing with you how you evolved into your higher self,
Perhaps the changes you've already made with your healthier lifestyle,
Through meditation and yoga.
Being more mindful of daily self-care rituals for your mind and your body.
How you have organized your life to be more efficient,
In turn allowing more time for this self-care.
You cleared the mind of the clutter and replaced it with positive energies.
Your reflection pauses,
Looks into your eyes with care and love and says,
This strength and courage you exhibit is actually within you now.
This is what I'm here to show you.
Perhaps more importantly,
Your future self tells you that you are enough.
You are strong,
Confident,
And beautiful.
I am your reflection in this wonderful present,
Which you should enjoy now and celebrate who you've become.
The future will come and your growth will continue.
You bow to your counterpart as it mirrors your actions,
Catching a glimpse of the epiphany that has come to you.
The candlelight dances while its illumination allows you to see yourself as who you are today,
Echoing the words,
You are enough.
Taking in this realization that you are content with who you are,
You step away from the mirror and turn your attention to the lounge in anticipation of a tranquil closing to the self-awakening.
The soft cushions accept you into a perfectly accommodating fit for stillness and comfort.
You are supported,
You are cared for,
And you are loved.
You gently drift off to sleep with the appreciated knowledge that will be there when you awake,
That you are enough.
Be kind to yourself.
