Hi,
I'm Sharon Bosworth,
Teaching folks to find a patch of calm in this crazy world.
Are you ready to start your day?
Honestly,
Me neither.
Yet,
I'm sure that you have a number of things to do today,
So let's get off to a good start.
First,
Make sure that you are somewhere that you feel comfortable.
Lay down,
Sit in your favorite chair,
Stand outside,
Or just walk around.
We are going to start by taking three deep breaths.
You can take more if you wish.
Breathe in.
Visualize the breath going into your body.
Pay attention to how it feels to fully fill your lungs as they push against your side.
Breathe out,
Being aware of how the air flowing out of your body feels.
Breathe in positivity.
Fill your lungs with fresh air.
If you are tense,
Release your air through pursed lips,
Making motorboat sounds like you did when you were a kid.
Breathe in.
Notice how the air feels coming through your nose or how it feels flowing over your tongue.
Hold for a second and then release,
Exhaling all of your tension.
Now,
Picture in your mind a place or a time that made you happy.
Reflect on where you were.
Are you inside or are you out of doors?
Is it warm and the sun is shining down on you?
Or is there a chill in the air?
Is someone with you?
Are you surrounded by family or friends?
Or perhaps you're just relaxing alone.
What sounds do you remember?
Is it an active joyful place or was it quiet and calm?
How do you feel?
Are you relaxed,
Excited,
Happy?
As you relax in your happy place,
Reflect on these affirmations.
Just listen or feel free to repeat them in your mind or out loud.
Whatever makes you happy.
I will make today a good day.
Today I will smile.
I will focus on just today.
Tomorrow can wait.
My best is enough.
I will not let fear control me.
I will choose to look for the good in situations.
I will set boundaries and stick to them.
I will count my blessings.
I've got this.
Now go have a great day.
Remember,
It's important to find a like-minded tribe who believes in you so much that on days that you feel like you can't,
They remind you you can.
I believe you can.
If you need a reminder,
Feel free to come back anytime.
I'm always here.
Now go have a great day.
Namaste.
