I Am Loved

How has the last year treated you? I have been along the path less travelled and in this poem I say thank you to all who have helped me along the way. It also serves as inspiration for those that have had a chance to reflect on the last year. This poem celebrates one year as a teacher on IT, and all the blessings I have received. So to all of you, thank you.

What a time to be alive. What a time to survive and even thrive. What a road less traveled can look like. Throughout the difficult times it has been a delight. Looking back at the last year it has been happy and sometimes sad. Kept my head up high with all the growth and joy I have had. The twists and turns of my journey are something I could have never foreseen. Areas of my life that have been unearthed and are sometimes like a dream. How have I faced the darkness? How have I seen the light? With courage and love. Hanging on sometimes with all of my might. I'm feeling so loved and free. Knowing this is the place I was always meant to be. Because I am loved. I am loved. Thank you for all the blessings. Thank you for all the love. Thank you for making me feel a beautiful golden light from above. I'll keep going. I'll keep sharing. I'll keep being that person who helps everyone along the way by simply caring. Throughout the difficult times I have doubled down and kept my faith. For the first time in my life I truly know my place. What's next? Who knows? As my light consistently grows. Wherever life takes me unquestionably I'll be there. Because I am loved.
