Hello beautiful souls,

This is June B and welcome to a beautiful night's sleep.

Thanks for being here for another in the series Bedtime Tales with June B.

Join me as I'm exploring this enchanted forest and all the things we will discover on our journey to sleep together.

So let's get in your favourite sleeping position,

Make sure you're comfortable,

Close your eyes,

Relax your muscles and imagine yourself melting into the bed.

Now let's go to your breathing,

Slowing down the heart rate and let's take some nourishing breaths together.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in Breathe out Breathe in Breathe out Breathe in Breathe out Breathe in Breathe out,

Ah last time breathe in.

Breathe out,

Ah.

As always we start at the beginning.

What is an enchanted forest?

It is a forest under or containing enchantments.

Enchantments are feelings of great pleasure and delights which include magic and spells.

So we expect to see some fun and unusual things on our journey together tonight.

Are you ready to come with me?

Okay let's go.

We are in this enchanted forest together.

Remember you are safe and all is well.

Let's check out the scene now.

We walk along this forest and the first thing we see is a unicorn.

Oh how beautiful it is.

It is white with its one horn,

A shimmering mix of pink,

Purple and silver.

Parts of it are iridescent too.

Sparkling as it moves around in front of me.

The colours and the shimmer to this amazing loving creature.

This unicorn looks at me and seems to smile.

Like my own personal unicorn to bring magic and wonder into my day.

Did you know that the unicorn is a legendary creature that has been described since antiquity as a beast with a single large pointed spiralling horn projecting from its forehead.

Those are free spirits living in your fairy tale world.

Prophets to have magic powers and said to heal all sicknesses.

In our modern language the word unicorn has gone on to name a person or thing that is rare and highly valued.

So as this unicorn walks around with so much grace and class it is exploring and looking for some food.

Did you know that unicorns have big appetites and their basic diet consists of grass,

Plants,

Flowers and berries.

This unicorn is finding a feast right here as this enchanted forest is bursting with a whole host of amazing looking trees and plants that are edible and look as well as smell so tasty.

I walk over to a lone tree and pick a strange looking fruit off a low hanging branch.

As I hold it in my hand turning it over many times I am mesmerized by the look of this little fruit.

It feels smooth to the touch and has a smell that is oh so familiar to me although I can't quite put my finger on it right now.

Curiosity gets the better of me and I decide to take a bite and see if I can recognize the smell or taste.

After one bite I get it straight away it tastes of candy floss.

Oh what a treat.

Moving along now I see some other inhabitants of this magical place.

Often enchanted forests will be the home to many creatures including and not limited to dragons,

Dwarfs,

Elves,

Fairies,

Giants,

Gnomes,

Goblins,

Orcs,

Trolls,

Unicorns and other mythical creatures.

The mythical creatures may be sometimes portrayed in some stories as either living in a hidden kingdom or in solitary.

I can see up ahead a forest fairy.

I love fairies.

Now who didn't want to dress up as a fairy when they were young?

I certainly did.

Sneaking into my parents wardrobe and putting on all the pretty clothes that I could.

Placing pearls and rings around my neck and on my fingers.

Sneaking on some lipstick and finding something to be a wand.

I was off and away in my own magical enchanted world as a fairy with such magical powers.

So many Disney movies have fairies in them so they are something we are all familiar with and grew up with.

Forest fairies are the most common of the fae folk.

They live within the trees with wings that blend with the leaves.

These fairies often use fairy circles to sing,

Dance and celebrate within.

These fairies love music and make their own instruments out of wood and carved rocks.

Did you know the average lifespan of a fairy is between a thousand and fifteen hundred years?

They do not appear to physically age and they never suffer from illness.

So I ask myself,

Why are so many fairy tales told in a forest?

The forest is one of the most common fairy tale settings.

It is a place beyond the safety and familiarity of the town or village.

It represents the unknown where anything can happen.

It is outside of normal experience and is both a magical realm and a place of danger.

As I continue to walk through this enchanted forest,

I see some fairies together dancing and singing.

Generally having such fun in this mystical,

Magical and beautiful place.

The trees are amazing and have the most unusual branches and leaves drooping over and touching the ground.

I can see ahead these huge toadstools that are shimmering white with red dots on them,

Covered in fairy dust that wafts through the air,

Covering everything with this air of enchantment and hope.

There are so many other things in this enchanted forest to explore and I can't wait to delve a little deeper and find some hidden gems.

What a night of adventure,

Right?

I'm not sure about you.

I'm getting sleepy even thinking about it.

So I'm ready to let go fully and surrender to sleep.

Thanks for joining me tonight and as you slowly drift away,

Have yourself a great night's sleep.

And looking forward to seeing you again for another in the series of bedtime tales with June B.

Good night!

Lovely story as always thank you so much . Unfortunately for me the constant repetition of the piano did my head in. The delightful soothing water would have been just perfect on its own JuneB. Much love and Namaste
