Hello beautiful souls,

This is June Bee,

And welcome to an amazing night's sleep.

Thanks for being here for another in the series,

Bedtime Tales with June Bee.

Tonight,

We'll travel into the sky,

Where a small cloud learns the gentle art of letting go.

The cloud that learned to rest.

So let's get into your favourite sleeping position,

Making sure you are comfortable.

Close your eyes,

Relax your muscles and slowly imagine yourself melting into the bed.

Now let's go to your breathing,

Slowing down the heart rate and let's take some nourishing breaths together.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe out,

Breathe out.

Last time,

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Settle in now,

Relax and get comfortable.

Listen to the sound of my voice.

If your mind wanders,

It's okay.

Bring it back to the sound of my voice.

Let go of everything that has happened today and let's go on our journey together.

Imagine for a moment,

You are peacefully lying on a super wide and extra soft meadow at the beginning of twilight.

The earth beneath you feels quite cool and especially grounding today,

Holding you firm and steady.

Around you,

Tall super slim grass sways gently in the soft breeze,

Their tiny tips brushing together like the effortless whispers of an ancient beautiful lullaby.

Now,

The darker sky above shifts from the once golden hues to a deep velvet indigo.

The last effervescent traces of sunlight quickly fade into a subtle,

Soft,

Pink,

Then creamy lavender and finally the deep night blue.

One by one,

Tiny stars appear,

Faint at first,

Then before you know it,

Growing brighter and brighter.

Each one working harder and almost in a competition against each other,

Vying for the onlooker's attention,

Forming a thousand tiny lanterns strung high across the heavens.

Oh,

What a sight to behold.

High above all these proceedings drifts a small,

Almost insignificant cloud.

It is soft,

Glowing faintly in the background,

Bringing in the last light of day,

Yet something about it feels strangely unsettled.

The little cloud cannot seem to rest.

It sharply darts one way,

Then another,

Pulled and tossed by invisible winds,

As if it has been somewhere urgent,

Or it needs to be somewhere urgently.

It gathers water,

Heavy and full,

But holds it so tightly,

As if its whole existence depended on it,

Unwilling to just let go.

The little cloud bravely whispers into the night.

I must keep going,

No matter what.

If I stop,

I fear that I will disappear.

The stars above brightly shimmer gently in reply.

Sweet cloud,

Relax.

It's really alright to rest now.

But the cloud shakes and quivers with worry.

If I rest,

If I released,

What if I'm lost forever?

The night lovingly answers back,

Soft as a feather and with a sweet sigh.

When you eventually release,

You do not vanish,

You easily transform.

You fall as rain,

Feeding the thirsty earth that requires your loving bounty.

You then rise again,

As soft morning mist,

As cool gentle dew,

As happy playful fog.

You expand,

Explore,

Engage,

To now become part of rivers,

Part of oceans,

Part of the sweet song of life itself.

You are never lost,

Dearest one.

The cloud in contemplation drifts in silence,

Somewhat uncertain.

For so long,

It has believed that to hold on is the only way to survive.

Yet deep down inside,

It feels weary,

So very weary.

Now,

Let's take a breath with the little cloud.

Breathe in,

Holding everything really tightly,

And then breathe out.

Lovingly releasing.

Let it all go,

Just like the cloud inevitably has to do.

The little cloud finally lets go and releases.

The first tiny drop of rain gently falls,

Then another,

And another,

Each one a sigh of sweet relief.

The meadow below dances with delight and welcomes the nourishing rain.

The grass bends and dances with gratitude.

Flowers tilt their buds upwards,

Drinking in this precious gift.

With each single drop,

The cloud happily grows lighter and brighter.

Its edges soften,

Glowing a deep and indelible silver beneath the watchful moon.

The weight it once carried so fiercely is no longer heavy.

The stars above twinkle that little bit brighter,

As though celebrating its amazing courage.

And you too suddenly begin to feel lighter and brighter.

Notice your shoulders softening.

Notice your breath deepening.

Notice how safe it feels to just release and let go.

The moon whispers lovingly to the little cloud,

See,

Dear one,

You are safe.

You are lighter now.

You have given,

And yet you are still here.

The cloud drifts slowly across the sky,

No longer rushing,

No longer straining.

At last it has learned to rest.

And as you realize that,

This story is also yours.

It is safe to let go.

Safe to gently soften.

Safe to lovingly surrender.

Place your hand gently on your heart.

Whisper quietly to yourself,

I too can rest.

I too can let go.

I too am safe.

Now let us linger here a little longer,

Together,

In this beautiful meadow of the night.

The rain has passed now,

And the air is crisp and fresh.

Carrying the dark scent of the earth,

And the sweet scent of those tiny little wildflowers.

The grasses glisten with silver,

Sparkling droplets.

The stars above are endless,

Stretching so far into eternity.

Each single one reminding you how incredibly vast,

How endlessly timeless,

And how beautifully connected you really are.

The little cloud drifts along peacefully now,

Glowing so softly against the perfect,

Moonlit sky.

It no longer fears stopping.

It knows that rest has never been,

And is not,

The end.

Rest is its own renewal.

Stay here now,

Breathing slowly and deeply.

Notice how your body grows heavy with each passing exhale against the bed.

Notice how your thoughts grow softer,

Like soft,

Gentle whispers,

Fading into the night.

Notice how effortlessly calm your heart feels.

And as the minutes pass,

Imagine yourself becoming that happy cloud,

Floating so high above the world,

Weightless,

Effortless,

And totally free.

You carry no burdens or worries now.

Every previous worry,

Every so-called heaviness,

Slowly drips away as gentle rain,

Falling harmlessly onto the welcoming earth below.

You are glowing.

You are resting.

Floating,

Breathe out,

Letting go.

Over and over,

Like the waves endlessly rising on the shore.

In and out.

Floating,

Letting go.

The stars keep watch with a cheeky wink.

The moon lovingly smiles down at you.

The deep,

Welcoming night sky cradles you in endless safety.

And the cloud,

Now at peace,

Drifts slowly towards the horizon.

Glowing with peace and serenity.

It whispers to you one last truth.

Rest is not weakness.

Rest is wisdom.

Rest is love.

So gently rest now,

Beautiful soul.

The sky will always hold you.

The stars will effortlessly protect you.

The night will gently cradle you with love.

Just like the cloud,

You now have permission to release,

To transform,

To rest so deeply.

Why?

Because you are safe.

You are loved.

I don't know about you.

I'm getting sleepy even thinking about it.

So I'm ready to let go fully and surrender to sleep.

Thank you for joining me tonight.

And as you slowly drift away,

Have yourself a great night's sleep.

And I look forward to seeing you again.

For another in the series of bedtime tales with June B.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.

Good night.
