Welcome to this guided meditation,
Which will help you tap into and stimulate your body's own natural healing and relaxation response.
Take a few moments now to make sure you are in a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down somewhere where you won't be disturbed.
And when you are ready,
You can simply allow those eyes to close.
As you begin to relax,
Start by taking some deep,
Comfortable breaths in through your nose.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And with each breath that you take,
Starting to become more and more aware of how the body feels.
And how it has started to relax and let go.
And as you start to let go,
I want you to acknowledge this time that you are taking for yourself.
Acknowledging that this is your time to rest,
To heal.
To simply be here in the here and now.
Where nobody wants anything,
Nobody needs anything.
Where you can be completely still,
At ease and rest.
And as you continue to rest here in this meditation,
I want you to continue to slowly breathe in and out.
Breathing to your body's own natural rate and rhythm.
And just noticing how your chest slowly rises and falls with the breath.
And perhaps you can notice too,
How you can already feel the body sinking deeper into the surface underneath you.
A soft,
Comfortable heaviness growing inside of those muscles.
As you go deeper into relaxation.
Deeper into your own inner world of healing.
As your mind and body start working together to access and stimulate your own powerful natural healing ability.
Harnessing the power of your mind,
Which we know can accelerate the healing process.
And so you can simply relax a little more.
Feeling completely comfortable,
Safe and at ease.
That's right.
Relaxing deeper.
And as you do,
I'd like you to imagine now a small ball of healing energy floating effortlessly just above the top of your head.
Just hovering there,
Waiting.
And you can imagine this ball in any way that you choose.
You might see it as a light or as a color.
Or perhaps you can simply sense its presence.
In a few moments,
This ball of healing and relaxing energy will move slowly down through your body.
And as it does,
Every muscle that it touches instantly becomes more and more relaxed.
Allowing you to feel a soft heaviness deep inside your muscles.
And even deep inside those bones.
And this ball of energy also has a powerful healing quality.
Allowing it to bring a soothing and healing energy to all areas where it is needed.
Healing and relaxing all parts of your physical body.
And so I'd like you now to imagine this ball is beginning its journey.
Slowly lowering deeper and deeper as it eases gently through the scalp and deep,
Deep down into the head.
Relaxing you completely as it does.
Filling your body with a gentle,
Powerful healing force.
And this energy now gently soaks in and around those eyes.
And you can just take a few moments now to really relax all those tiny muscles in and around those eyes.
Perhaps feeling a soothing warmth or cooling sensation as you do.
Feel that brow ease now as you relax the face.
So comfortable,
So easy and so relaxed.
Allowing that relaxation and healing to move through the cheeks and slowly into the muscles of the jaw.
And as it does,
You can allow that jaw to sink down lower.
Releasing all the stress and tension that may have built up inside of that jaw.
And now this gentle sensation and healing energy eases its way down into the powerful muscles of the neck.
And you can now just allow those muscles to relax as this sensation gently spreads out across those shoulders.
Like a wave of energy soaking deep into those shoulders.
And slowly down those arms,
The elbows,
The wrists,
Hands and fingers.
Those arms getting heavier and heavier as you relax.
More and more relaxed until those arms,
Those hands feel so,
So heavy.
That sleepy heaviness now in those arms.
And as you enjoy these sensations,
That healing ball of energy continues to move down through your body.
A gentle wave of relaxation beginning to flow all the way down the back now.
The upper back and the lower back.
Taking you even deeper into this state of calm,
Peaceful relaxation.
And as this deep and powerful healing continues to flow down throughout the body.
Become aware of how that gentle sensation now moves down into those legs.
Down through those muscles.
And you can simply allow your legs to relax.
To relax and let go completely.
As that feeling of comfortable heaviness takes you deeper and deeper.
All the way down now.
So that the whole body now feels at ease.
From the top of the head to the very tips of those toes.
And this relaxation allows you to enter into your body's own natural healing state.
Where your body can focus its resources on healing and renewing all parts of you that require attention.
That require healing.
As your body's innate ability to heal becomes wide awake.
Switched on and at work.
Reducing inflammation.
Calming areas of irritation.
Gently soothing away any discomfort.
Allowing your body to return to a healthy and natural state of being.
Knowing that the flow of energy and healing is moving through you.
Through every cell.
Every nerve.
Every muscle and fiber in your body.
All coming back into balance.
Rejuvenating.
Renewing.
Back into harmony.
Your body now filled with gentle healing energy and light.
Taking some time now to relax back into this knowing.
Getting a deep sense of the changes happening within your body as you rest here.
And as you rest and allow this process to work within you.
You may experience sensations of warmth as the healing continues.
Or sensations of pressure being released as inflammation and discomfort begin to subside.
Your body healing itself.
Circulating rich oxygenated blood to every living cell in your body.
And carrying away anything that needs to be let go and removed.
Continue to breathe now in a natural easy rhythm.
Letting your breath help support your body.
Fully enjoying this deep comfort and peace.
This healing time.
As you release any residual tension or feelings of discomfort.
That's right.
Continuing to breathe in that natural easy rhythm.
Knowing that there's no need to force anything.
And so in a few moments you will begin to come back to full waking awareness.
Begin to do so when you are ready.
Taking all the time that you need.
Giving yourself to retain that feeling of comfort and sense of ease and peace within your body.
And as you begin to move around.
You may feel sensations returning to your hands and feet.
Being curious as you slowly open your eyes coming up and out of the meditation.
Knowing how the room looks around you as you come all the way back now.
Being rested and at ease.
