Your body is designed to heal itself, and by directing your mind to focus in on a specific part of your body, you can increase the natural resources which will go there. When your mind and body are relaxed, you enter the state where most of your body’s healing takes place. This meditation will gently guide you to tap into your own ability and capacity to heal. If you are currently suffering from a physical illness or injury, this session will promote your body’s own natural healing powers.

Welcome to this guided meditation to help you activate and strengthen your innate ability to heal as you connect to your own inner healer.

Take a few moments now to make sure you are in a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down somewhere where you won't be disturbed.

And when you are ready,

You can simply allow those eyes to close.

As you sit or lie here with your eyes closed,

I'd like you to take some slow deep breaths in and just notice how your body feels.

Notice if there are any areas of tension in the body.

And as you mentally scan the body,

Just notice that your breathing has become slower.

As you inhale and exhale.

And on the next breath in,

Starting to notice how the tension in your body is starting to shift and dissolve.

As the whole body now becomes more and more relaxed.

Knowing now that there is nothing to disturb you.

Nothing to bother you.

There is nowhere else that you need to be right now.

You can just sit or lie back and relax.

Feeling completely safe and at ease.

And as you continue to just relax,

I'd like you to allow all the tensions from the last few days and then the last few hours.

All those troubles and problems,

Just let them fade into the background.

Let them drift away.

Feeling all that tightness and tension simply draining away.

And feeling a new sense of calm and relaxation starting at the very top of the head.

That's right.

And now down around that face.

Through the brow,

Those eyes,

The cheeks.

Down into the jaw.

Relaxing that jaw and allowing that tongue to rest gently on the bottom of the mouth.

And now allow that sensation to move down into the neck.

And down into those shoulders.

Letting those shoulders relax and feeling all that tension.

Any uncomfortable feelings just draining away.

And being replaced with calm and peaceful relaxation.

And that relaxation moves down through the body now.

Down through the chest and stomach.

Unknotting any tension.

And now moving down through those arms and legs.

And all the way down any tension being drained away.

Gone completely and replaced by calm,

Gentle,

Soothing relaxation.

Allow yourself to just relax.

To be here completely.

And as you relax deeper.

As you become more and more still inside.

Perhaps you are beginning to remember that inner,

Deeper core of who you really are.

Your very existence.

That place within.

A place of inner harmony and inner calm.

A quiet stillness.

A place of inner healing powers and life force.

And as you quietly go within.

You remember that from the very beginning of existence.

From the very beginning of time itself.

That the mind and body have known how to heal themselves.

The body knows how to heal over scrapes and wounds and injuries.

It knows how to generate new cells and new tissue whenever it is needed.

And the body knows equally as well how to regulate its own healthy functioning.

Maintaining and regulating the necessary hormonal and chemical components for a healthy functioning mind and body.

Regulating heart rate and breathing.

Body temperature and blood pressure.

And it does all of these things effortlessly.

Unconsciously.

Automatically.

Maintaining them at healthy levels.

You see all living things have one thing in common.

And that is the most incredible capacity to heal.

You simply need to think of a wounded animal or a damaged plant to understand this.

The animal,

Humans included,

Recovers from the wound or illness.

And the plant grows new leaves or branches.

You too have this amazing ability and capacity to heal.

You have a miraculous healing energy within you.

So I want you now to go deeper within yourself.

To the very source of that healing energy within you.

Become aware of the energy coming from the very center of yourself.

And I want you to gather up that energy.

And guide it to that part of your body where you instinctively know it must be directed to.

You can trust your intuition.

Just let it guide you.

Each one of us has our own personal concept of this healing energy.

Of this life force.

And everyone's concept is right for them.

For me it is the source of light.

A source of healing light.

Like the sun.

A light that can be directed to the part of the body which needs healing.

And which gently covers and saturates that part of the body with its healing glow.

It is a golden light that surrounds and bathes the ill or wounded part of the body.

With that healing golden energy.

I want you now to discover your own concept of what your healing energy is.

Locate it deep within you and direct it to wherever your body needs it.

Direct that energy through your body to wherever you intuitively know it is needed.

This might not be where you first thought it was needed.

But trust in where you have intuitively chosen.

Allow yourself to sense or feel the healing that is already beginning within you.

And you can actually feel that healing.

Perhaps as a warming sensation or a tingling in a part of the body as you focus your attention on it.

Now simply let your wonderful creative and powerful imagination form an image in your mind.

An awareness of what that ill or wounded part of your body looks like or feels like or even sounds like.

This image could come as though you were looking at an anatomy book printed on the page.

Or it could come as a three-dimensional image like an atomical model.

Or as though you were actually looking at this part of your body inside of yourself.

It could be entirely symbolic to you.

A picture now developing and appearing in your mind.

Trust in the image that comes up for you.

Using all your sensory awareness to create that image.

Fill that image with all the detail that you can.

What you see,

What you hear,

What you feel,

Touch,

Taste and smell.

Now place that image to one side in your inner awareness.

And this time I want you now to create another image.

An image of healing,

Of recovery.

It is the image of what your body will be like,

Will look like,

Feel like and sound like when you are well again,

Restored.

So I want you to go ahead now and fill in all that detail again.

Using whatever image is right for you.

Remember that this image can be realistic or symbolic.

It can be two-dimensional or three-dimensional.

Whatever you instinctively know is right for you.

That's right.

And now place this image beside the earlier one.

Your task now in this meditation becomes simple.

You simply need to evolve the first image into the second.

You may like to make a video of this process.

Or draw images in your mind showing immediate changes.

Perhaps you may want to create a time-lapse movie showing the evolution taking place.

As the first image becomes the second.

Or you may simply just sense the evolution taking place.

Each day you can reinforce this healing imagery by simply picturing this transformation and evolution in your mind.

Knowing that the more frequently you reinforce this healing,

The stronger the message will be that you are giving to your body.

As you activate and strengthen your innate ability to heal and be well.

As you continue to relax right here and now.

I want you to silently repeat the following affirmation in your mind.

I can be well.

I am already on the road to recovery.

I can be well.

I am already on the road to recovery.

Take a few more moments now to rest and to relax.

Allowing yourself to just be as you prepare to come out of this meditation.

That's it.

And when you are ready taking a slow comfortable deep breath in.

Filling the chest and lungs.

And then as you let that breath go.

You can just allow your breathing to return to a rate and rhythm which is right for you.

As your attention now gently shifts outwards.

Starting to gently move those hands and feet.

Slowly opening your eyes now and coming all the way back to full waking awareness.

Super amazing. I could not have picked a better meditation for this moment. I sliced my thumb earlier today and it’s been very fragile. I believe I can heal it and this session really helped. I will continue with this one for awhile. Thank you 🙏
